After arriving in Lusaka, you’ll take a domestic flight to Mfuwe and head to South Luangwa National Park—the first stop on your romantic Zambia honeymoon. Today, you’ll start your exploration of South Luangwa, one of Africa’s best national parks. You will wake up early for a morning game drive or a walking safari (Zambia is famous for this activity), where you’ll be able to spot your first big game animals, including giraffes, elephants, and buffalo. You'll escape the hottest part of the day back at camp, returning for another safari excursion in the evening and after dark. South Luangwa is one of the few national parks on the continent that allows nighttime game drives, offering the opportunity to see nocturnal predators come alive.

Day 3

Transfer to Three Rivers Camp, South Luangwa National Park

Transfer to Three Rivers Camp, South Luangwa National Park

You will leave Kafunta River Lodge behind and journey seven kilometres (you can even walk between them as part of a walking safari and have your luggage forwarded if you wish) to Three Rivers Camps, Kafunta’s newest property. Located where the Luangwa, Kapamba and Lusangazi meet, this scenic lagoon attracts plenty of wildlife, including hippos and crocodiles. You will have the experience of a lifetime falling asleep under the stars while listening to the bubbling currents of the river.

You will have game drives and bush walks around the three rivers that offer incredible wildlife-watching opportunities, with big game sightings including waterbucks, giraffes, elephants, and the rare roan antelopes. You will look out for famous predators, such as lions, leopards, and critically endangered African wild dogs. After a day of safari activities, you'll unwind with a multi-course dinner and sundowners by the river.

After an incredible safari around two of Zambia’s best national parks, you’ll swap the bush for gushing waterfalls by taking a domestic flight to Livingstone, home of Victoria Falls. You’ll be staying in one of Waterberry Lodge’s pretty cottages, nestled in gorgeous gardens on the shores of a private lake. You'll relax in waterside luxury, wander around the beautiful gardens and take a dip in the lodge’s swimming pool.

Exploring Livingstone (Victoria Falls)

The majestic Victoria Falls is the largest waterfall on the planet and one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. There are a number of ways to enjoy the site of natural beauty, including hopping across the border to neighbouring Zimbabwe for gorgeous views of spray and rainbows. If you’re looking for adrenaline activities, then there are options for bungee jumps, ziplining, and abseiling. Or if you’re looking to relax, then take a romantic helicopter tour over the falls or hike one of the scenic footpaths around the falls.

You'll spend your second day in Livingstone with more exciting waterfall-based activities, relax at the lodge or explore the town at your leisure. Take a daytime river cruise down the Zambezi with a picnic, stopping along the way and visiting a local village, meet locals and learn about life in rural Zambia, as well as pick up some souvenirs. Whilst staying at Waterbury lodge make the most of the water based activities on offer such as canoeing and boat rides.
