Wake up early and enjoy a cup of coffee overlooking the surrounds of Lake Manyara before breakfast. Our next destination is the Ngorongoro Crater, the largest intact crater in the world, estimated to house more than 30,000 large mammals. Due to its natural borders, there is an abundance of wildlife throughout the conservation area, which is home to the Big Five, including the African Black Rhino, as well as hyenas, zebras, and elephants, among others. At the end of the day, we’ll head to Ndutu/South Serengeti, where we’ll overnight at the Africa Safari South Serengeti tented camp. This area is famous for the Great Migration's calving season.

Serengeti National Park
On day three we drive towards the Serengeti. After a few hours, we will arrive at the Serengeti gate, where we enjoy lunch before embarking on a game drive through this beautiful park.
Known for both its forest landscapes and the endless plains of savannah, the park is famous for its migration involving about 1.5 million herbivores and predators moving across the land in search of water.
You’ll spend the evening at Africa Safari Ikoma, situated between Serengeti Seronera, Grumeti, and Ikorongo Game Reserves, making it an ideal base for exploring the Serengeti. It’s a wonderful retreat where you can enjoy observing birdlife or a herd of impala grazing peacefully around the camp area, or simply listening to the sounds of the African bush.

Today, we venture further north, continuing our game drive in the Serengeti. During the migration season, we can pass by the Mara River, where you may witness the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity of watching thousands of animals crossing the water.
We will overnight at the Africa Safari Maasai Boma. As the accommodation’s name suggests, it is inspired by a traditional Maasai boma. Look around you and you’ll understand why -you’ll be immersed in the Maasai culture! The local village is called Ololosokwan, and although not located in an official game reserve or national park, you can still see wildlife here.

Lake Natron
After breakfast, we’ll make our way to Lake Natron. The drive from the northern Serengeti is remote, with a desolate, other-worldly beauty and an incomparable feeling of space and antiquity. The roads pass through untravelled Maasai land, with small bomas and big mountains often in view amidst a wild, cauterized landscape. On the way to the lodge, there is an opportunity to stop at a hot spring.
We will overnight at Africa Safari Lake Natron. The lodge is embedded in its surrounding landscape and boasts stunning views of neighbouring Mount Ol Doinyo Lengai, a still-active volcano. Enjoy the view! From the lodge, you can take a 10-minute walk to the lake with your guide, or you can choose to take a refreshing and welcome dip in the swimming pool. The region is famed for hosting approximately two million flamingos, which gather along the lake's shores from June to November.
