Day 1

You will be picked up from the agreed point in Dar es Salaam and transferred to Mikumi National Park. The drive will take about 6 hours, with a lunch stop at the restaurant in Morogoro Town. After lunch, proceed with afternoon game drives in the park, home to elephants, lions, wild dogs, zebras, hyenas, buffalos, wildebeests, eland, hartebeests, crocodiles, lizards and other resident animals. Over 300 species of birds have been observed in this park.

Day 2

In the morning, after breakfast, go on a full-day game drive with a packed lunch in the park. Mikumi’s vegetation includes woodland, swamps, and grassland, with two waterholes, Mkata and Chamgore. Apart from the saddle-billed stork, hammerkop and malachite kingfisher, you will also find a monitor lizard and perhaps a python inhabiting the pools. After lunch, proceed with an afternoon game drive in the park, home to elephants, lions, wild dogs, zebras, hyenas, buffalos, wildebeests, eland, hartebeests, crocodiles, lizards and other residents.

Day 3
Mikumi National Park to Ruaha National Park

Have an early breakfast at the hotel, then leave with your lunch box and drive to Ruaha National Park. The journey will take about 8 hours, with many exciting things on the road as you drive through Baobab Valley's colourful villages and the Southern Rift Valley Escarpment. Visit the Maasai community, where you will learn about the culture of this tribe and dance with them afterwards. Proceed with a drive to the park gate, where you will check in and drive to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Day 4

After breakfast, we will take you on a full-day game drive in Ruaha National Park with a picnic lunch. You will enjoy the unique experience of nature, wildlife patterns, and habitat of the fauna and flora in the natural areas. You may spot rare animals, including the greater kudu, sable, and roan antelope.
Over 540 species of birds have been recorded in this park. The resident birds of the Ruaha National Park are the crested barbet, Dickinson's kestrel, pale-billed hornbill, violet-crested turaco, racket-tailed roller, plover, kingfisher, hornbill, green-wood hoopoe, sunbird, bee-eater and egret.
Return to your accommodation for dinner. Then, leave for a night game drive from 8:00 to 12:00 pm. During the night game drive, you will have a chance to see the different nocturnal species which can not be seen in the daytime. Return for overnight at your hotel in Ruaha.

Day 5

After breakfast, start a walking safari in the wilderness. An armed ranger will guide you on walking to get close to the animals, plants, footprints, and animals along the river for beautiful pictures. You will return to the hotel for a hot lunch. After lunch, leave for an afternoon game drive inside the park until sunset. Then, you will exit the park and drive to Iringa town for dinner and overnight.

Day 6
A visit to Isimila Stone Age to Dar es Salaam
A visit to Isimila Stone Age to Dar es Salaam
Have breakfast at your hotel, then drive to Tosamaganga Village to visit the Isimila Stone Age. In the late 1950s, amid a dramatic landscape of eroded sandstone pillars, archaeologists unearthed one of the most significant Stone Age finds ever identified. Tools found at the site – hammerstones, axeheads, flints and scrapers – are estimated to be between 60,000 and 100,000 years old. There’s a museum with small, well-captioned displays highlighting some discoveries.
After this tour, drive back to Dar es Salaam, where you will stop for lunch at the Mikumi Park or Morogoro Restaurant. You can expect to arrive in Dar es Salaam late in the evening, where the tour will end at the agreed-upon point.
