Explore the Ngorongoro Crater
Enjoy a full day to explore the Ngorongoro Crater and the surrounding.
Sanctuary Ngorongoro is an excellent tented camp on the much quieter eastern side of the crater. It is right next to the Lemala access road, so you can get down the crater floor in 15-20 mins from the lodge. You will beat many other visitors coming from lodges near Karatu or from other camps, that are further away from an access road, on the crater rim.
On the crater floor, you can expect to see a diverse range of wildlife, including buffalo, warthog, wildebeest, zebra, hippo and elephant. There’s also a huge population of predators: lion, hyena, jackal, cheetah and leopard. The resident population of black rhinos is a real treat, as they’re very difficult to spot elsewhere in Tanzania.

Fly to the Serengeti National Park
Your guide will transfer you back to Lake Manyara Airstrip in time for your flight to Central Serengeti.
The Serengeti is Tanzania’s most famous national park. The Serengeti offers some of the best wildlife viewing in Africa and is famous for the greatest wildlife spectacle on Earth, the great migration. Every year, over two million wildebeests and zebras migrate north from the Serengeti National Park to the Masai Mara National Reserve in Kenya.
You'll be staying at a luxury tented camp in the heart of the Serengeti and the wildlife is so strong here that it can be visited all year round with great sightings almost guaranteed. The great migration might pass through during the months of April, May, June and November.

Explore the Serengeti National Park
Today, head out on safari for your full day in Serengeti National Park. Spot Africa's Big Five (lion, leopard, rhino, buffalo and elephant) and depending on the season, witness the great migration. During the annual cycle of wildebeest, zebra, gazelle and impala, the herds must brave the perilous Mara River, which runs through the Masai Mara on the Kenyan side and Serengeti National Park on the Tanzanian side. They face treacherous water currents and dangerous predators as they cross the river in search of greener pastures. With crocodiles lurking in the muddy waters and lions, cheetahs, leopards and hyenas patrolling the river banks, this is a particularly dangerous time to be a wildebeest or a zebra.
