Day 1

Depart Nairobi and drive into the Great Rift Valley arriving for lunch at Flamingo Hill Camp. Afternoon game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park. Lake Nakuru National Park is world-famous for its enormous flocks of flamingos and over 400 species of birds found there. It's a soda lake on the floor of the Great Rift Valley and at times the flamingos number in the millions, which is quite a spectacular sight. They are so numerous that from a distance the lake appears to be ringed in pink. The lake has also earned a reputation as an important haven for endangered species, particularly the Rothschild giraffe and the Black and White rhinos.

Lake Nakuru/Maasai Mara Game Reserve

Lake Nakuru/Maasai Mara Game Reserve

Depart Lake Nakuru and head off to Maasai Mara Game Reserve arriving Julia's River Camp in the afternoon. After delightful lunch it's time for afternoon game drive. The landscape in Maasai Mara comprises of scenic savannah grasslands on rolling hills. Maasai Mara is the most famous game reserve in Kenya with extensive road and track network which allows for close range game viewing and photography. Overnight Julia's River Camp.

Maasai Mara Game Reserve

Maasai Mara Game Reserve

Whole day in Maasai Mara with game drives. You will have the best chances to view lion, cheetah and leopard hunting in the morning or late afternoon. Visit Mara River where thousands of wildebeest and zebra are attacked by crocodiles as they attempt to cross this mighty river during the annual migration between Tanzania and Kenya. Overnight at Julia's River Camp.
