Today is a day of travel. You will drive from Entebbe to Kidepo Valley National Park for 9 to 10 hours. The journey is long but the scenery is beautiful. On your way to the park, there will be enough time to stop and stretch your legs. You will enjoy lunch en-route to Gulu or Kitgum. You will check in at the lodge in the late afternoon.

The day starts with an early breakfast. After breakfast, you will explore the park during an on-foot guided safari walk. You will be accompanied by an armed ranger. The ranger will explain to you the unique flora and fauna in Kidepo Valley National Park. The safari walk will take 2 to 3 hours.
After the walk, you will first enjoy a (packed) lunch.
The afternoon is spent on a game drive in the park.

After breakfast, and if time allows you will enjoy one last short game drive! Afterward, you will leave Kidepo behind. You will drive to Murchison Falls National Park where you will check in at Murchison River Lodge. The drive takes about 5 to 6 hours but you will have a few stops on your way.

At 6 am the alarm goes off and at 7 you will be on your way to spot the game in the park. After the ride through the park, you will go back to the lodge for lunch. At 2 pm the boat trip on the Nile starts, at the bottom of the Murchison Falls. This boat trip takes about 3 hours. During the tour, you will see a lot of wild animals, such as hippos, buffalos, crocodiles, and perhaps some elephants. For people who are in good physical condition, there is the possibility to be deposited at the bottom of the waterfalls and take a hike up, along the waterfall. This hike is pretty steep and slippery. After the boat trip/hike, you will go for dinner at the lodge.

Today the journey continues to Kibale National Park, from Murchison Falls National Park to Kibale it is a ride of 6 to 7 hours. The journey is long but also very beautiful with a beautiful varied landscape, the hills and mountains you drive through become greener and greener until you reach the tea plantations of Fort Portal!

Chimpanzee Tracking and Bigodi Swamp Walk

It is time to look for the chimpanzees in Kibale National Park! You'll first go to the rangers in the park for a short explanation. Then the walk starts in the rainforest, the walk can be quite heavy, take good shoes and possibly a poncho. There will be a lot of time to listen carefully to see if you can hear the chimps, the rangers are trained in this so chances are that you will find the chimpanzees! After the chimp trek, it is time for lunch and then a walk through the marsh. During this walk, you will spot many different birds and perhaps some monkeys.
If you still feel like taking a walk, then you can go to the "top of the world" where you have beautiful views over the area with several crater lakes.

Today you will leave the rainforest behind and head for Queen Elizabeth National Park along the Rwenzori Mountains that form the border with Congo. After arriving at the park, the ride to the accommodation already gives you a great chance to spot wildlife. In the late afternoon, you will enjoy a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel.

After arrival in Ishasha, you will also look for the best climbing trees and maybe you’ll see lions in them.

After the briefing, the search begins for the mountain gorillas. Depending on the location of the family you are going to visit, the trip can take a few hours. The landscape is mountainous so take good walking shoes. After this exciting experience, it's time to relax at the lodge and look at your photos.
