Day 1

Greater Kruger Park

Greater Kruger Park

We depart Johannesburg as we make our way to the Greater Kruger National Park where our safari adventure begins. After travelling through the Highveld farmlands, we descend the Drakensberg escarpment and into the Lowveld, home to some of the most pristine private game reserves in South Africa, and the world-renowned Kruger National Park. We arrive at Thornhill Safari Lodge in time for a delicious lunch.

After some relaxation time, we venture out on a late afternoon/evening Big Five game drive in open 4x4 safari vehicles in one of the neighbouring private reserves. We take a break for sundowner drinks and snacks at one of the waterholes en-route, enjoying the sights, sounds and smells of the African bushveld, before continuing our game drive into the night.
