Arriving in (or transferring to) OR Tambo Airport in Johannesburg, you'll take a Federal Air Shuttle flight to Madikwe Airstrip. Then, it's a short transfer to Madikwe Hills, where you'll be staying in a luxury suite on an inclusive basis.

Depending on your arrival time, you may be able to enjoy an evening game drive with your Madikwe guide. The malaria-free Madikwe Game Reserve is an ideal safari destination for families and also a photographer's dream due to the rugged terrain, bold colours and habituated wild animal species. Today, you'll explore Madikwe Game Reserve even further, with morning and evening game drives around this diverse and exciting conservation area.

The reserve’s grassland, forest and rocky Tshwene Tshwene Hills are home to a variety of wildlife, such as elephants, lions, leopards and rhinos, plus endangered African wild dogs. Hundreds of bird species can also be found here, including ostrich, vulture and the large kori bustard. Animals often gather at the Madikwe Dam to drink at sunset, which is the perfect spot for an evening game drive, complete with sundowners.

There is also an option to participate in the unique Rhino Conservation Experience, where you can join park representatives and a veterinary specialist in tracking and monitoring the reserve's protected rhinos (extra fee applies).
