Arrive in Maun & Transfer to the Okavango Delta
Arriving into Botswana at Maun Airport, you'll take a quick 15-minute flight to Stanley's Airstrip to reach the Moremi Game Reserve, in the Okavango Delta region. You'll be staying at Sanctuary Chief's Camp, a luxury lodge located on Chief's Island in the heart of the game reserve.
Consistently rated as one of the top safari camps in Botswana by Condé Nast and Travel & Leisure, the award-winning Sanctuary Chief's Camp offers both wilderness and refinement, with a signature personal service and expert safari guides. The camp's pavilions and suites feature private dining areas, outside seating and a terrace pool, ideal for relaxation after a day of epic wildlife-watching.
Enjoy your first evening game drive out into the reserve with sundowners and canapés set against an iconic African sunset. Then return to camp for private dining on your covered deck, from which you'll be able to spot elephants, giraffes and buffalo wandering into view.

Explore Moremi Game Reserve & Okavango Delta
Explore the Moremi Game Reserve with morning and evening games drives for sightings of roaming lions that prey on the thousands of antelope, zebra and buffalo who live here all year round. There are also healthy populations of the critically endangered African wild dog, as well as abundant numbers of leopards, genet cats and hyenas.
If the water levels allow, then venture out into the Delta on a mokoro safari in a local dugout canoe. This unique activity offers a different perspective of the bush, poling through the byways created by floodwaters via the traditional method of transport still used by the BaYei people. Navigate the labyrinth of lily-filled lagoons and streams, where hippos fight for bathing rights and crocodiles wait for antelopes to linger too long over a drink.
Other activity options include a scenic flight over Okavango Delta in a helicopter (additional cost), as well as treatments at the opulent in-house spa using products from the Africology line.

Transfer to Chobe National Park
Today, you'll take a light aircraft flight of around 1 hour 20 mins from Stanley's Airstrip to Kasane Airport. From here, it's a shared road transfer to your next accommodation, Sanctuary Chobe Chilwero, located in the heart of the bush on the edge of Chobe National Park.
Sitting above the Chobe River, Sanctuary Chobe Chilwero offers unparalleled panoramic views across the islands and floodplains as far across as Namibia. After your journey, relax in your luxury suite, take a dip in the split-level swimming pool, or unwind with a pampering session in the only full-service spa on the Botswana safari circuit (complete with treetop treatment room).
Head out on an evening game drive or opt for a sundowner cruise on the Chobe River in one of the lodge's customised boats for your first taste of wildlife-watching in Chobe National Park. After sunset, return to the lodge for a gourmet dinner (we recommend the grilled impala with port wine and chocolate sauce on roast sweet potatoes).

Explore Chobe National Park
Chobe National Park is known for its large herds of elephants and Cape buffalo, which converge along the Chobe Riverfront in the dry months. The lions, antelopes and hippos inhabit the woods and lagoons around Linyanti Marsh; and the floodable grasslands of the Savuti Marsh attract numerous bird species, plus migrating zebras.
Wildlife activities offered by Sanctuary Chobe Chilwero include morning and evening game drives, fishing excursions and photographic safari cruises. The upper deck offers a great vantage point of the Chobe River, whilst the lower deck includes a bar area and is the perfect spot to relax and enjoy breakfast or lunch.
For those travelling with children, there are options for kids activities. These include guided walking safaris within the grounds of the lodge to collect pods, leaves and seeds, tree identification lessons, a "safari hunt" with clues hidden away, kiddies croquet on the lawn, "make your own pizza" with the lodge's chef and shortened game drives.
