Upon arrival, you will be received with a warm welcome by a representative from Mega Wild Safaris. You will be briefed about your safari and transferred to your hotel.

Depending on the time of your arrival, you are advised to have your money changed today.

Day 2

Transfer from Kampala to Murchison Falls National Park

Transfer from Kampala to Murchison Falls National Park

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Murchison Falls National Park via the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary where you will have the opportunity to trek the rhinos. Rhino trekking is done on foot and takes about 1 and a half hours. You will have lunch and later be driven to Murchison Falls National Park. On arrival, you will be taken to the lodge for relaxation awaiting dinner.

Day 3

Murchison Falls National Park

Murchison Falls National Park

Early in the morning, embark on a game drive on the Northern bank of the River Nile. You may spot elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, leopards, different species of antelopes and many tropical birds.

After lunch, go for a boat ride upstream the calm Victoria Nile to the base of the falls where you will see the River Nile. It is said to be the second-longest river in the world, crushing through a narrow gorge and forming the magnificent Murchison Falls.

You will also view hippos and crocodiles. You may also spot many birds like the goliath heron, Egyptian goose, pelican bee-eater, kingfisher, hornbill, cormorant and the rare shoebill stork.

Day 4

Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

You'll depart for Kibale Forest National Park after your morning breakfast driving south via Hoima.
You will enjoy the scenic features of tea plantations in Fort Portal. You will have a stopover in Fort Portal for lunch en route. Then, you'll drive one more hour to the lodge. You will enjoy a community walk and later return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5

Chimpanzee trekking

Chimpanzee trekking

After breakfast, you will visit Kibale Forest National Park. The park boasts the highest number of primate species in the world, including the chimpanzees with approximately 5,000 chimpanzees living in the wild in Uganda. The park's most famous of its 13 species of primates is the chimpanzee. It is also a home of species like the rare I’Hoest’s monkey, the black and white Colobus, the blue monkey, the grey-cheeked mangabey, the red-tailed monkey, and the olive baboon among others. You will trek chimpanzees which takes about 2-3 hours depending on the location of the chimpanzees. Return to the lodge for lunch. After lunch, you'll be transferred to Queen Elizabeth National park.

Day 6

Game drives and boat safari

Game drives and boat safari

After breakfast, embark on game drives in the park where you may spot some animals like elephants, buffaloes, bushbucks, and Uganda Kob, antelopes, and warthogs, among others. You will have lunch and after lunch, you will enjoy the unique 2-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. It is a 42 km channel that joins Lake Edward and Lake George. The boat ride offers an excellent platform for photography along which you will encounter several hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and over 500 bird species.

After breakfast, you'll have a morning game drive through the park in search of tree climbing lions and thereafter proceed to Mt. Mgahinga National park passing through the Kigezi Highlands with its terraced hillside and winding roads. You will enjoy the beautiful scenery of Kigezi terraced hills en route. On arrival, have lunch and relax at the lodge.

Day 8

Gorilla trekking

Gorilla trekking

After breakfast, you'll transfer to the park headquarters where you will be briefed about gorilla trekking. Mt. Mgahinga is renowned for its impressive mountain gorillas, although it is unpredictable how long you will track them before finding them since it all depends on their movement. You will be availed with walking sticks by the park rangers. Once spotted, you are allowed to spend only one hour with the gorillas for conservation purposes. Return to the lodge for lunch. In the evening, you'll proceed to the village for an optional cultural walk to interact with the local people and participate in captivating traditional performances.

After breakfast, you will be taken to the park headquarters for briefing ahead of trekking the golden monkeys. You will embark on the guided trekking of the golden monkeys which may last up to four hours. After trekking the monkeys, you will have lunch and relax at the lodge.

Day 12

Transfer to Entebbe

Transfer to Entebbe

After breakfast, have a game drive before driving back to Entebbe.

You will have a stopover at the Equator where you will have an opportunity to stand in 2 hemispheres at the same time and take some photos. Have another stop at the Mpigi Royal Drum Makers where you will watch the ceremonial drums being crafted using methods passed down through the generations.

You will be taken to your hotel in Entebbe or to the airport for your departure.
