Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park

You will be picked from the airport/hotel by one of our tour guides and will be briefed about the safari. You will then be transferred by road to Nyungwe Forest National Park. You will visit the Royal Palace Museum and Ethnographic Museum in Southern Province enroute. You will then proceed to Nyungwe Forest National Park after lunch reaching late afternoon.

Chimpazee trekking and canopy Walk

You will be moved to the park offices after breakfast for a briefing ahead of chimpanzee tracking. Embark on chimpanzee tracking after breakfast in which you will see the primates, with 13 species of Chimpanzee resident in Forest.

After Lunch you will enjoy the canopy walk way through the forest. You will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Transfer to Akagera National Park

You will be transferred to Akagera National park after breakfast. It is home to several antelopes like elephants, buffalos, giraffe, zebras, leopards, hyenas, lions bushbucks, Topis, Oribis, water-buck, roan antelope and duiker, bohor reedbuck, klipspringer, impala and world largest antelope – the Cape eland. On arrival, you will be taken to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Game Drive and Boat Ride

You will start the day with an early morning game drive through the park in search of lions, Elephants, Buffalos, Masai Giraffe, Gazelles, Impala, Baboons, Oribi, Butchel’s zebra, Topi, Bush baby, Leopard and bushbuck, Elands and many others.

You will have lunch at the lodge and will enjoy a boat ride on Lake Ihema in the afternoon. You will be taken to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay after.
