Welcome to Zambia! On arrival at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport, you will be met by a representative just after you have cleared immigration. You will be assisted with your luggage and check-in onto your scheduled flight to South Luangwa. On arrival at Mfuwe Airport in South Luangwa, you will be met by a guide from Kafunta River Lodge and embark on a 1-hour road transfer to the camp where you will stay for the next three nights.

Day 2-3
On Safari in South Luangwa National Park
On Safari in South Luangwa National Park
Twice daily you will have the option to join the game activities, day and night drives, or a walking safari, into South Luangwa National Park. The afternoon game drive stops for sundowners and continues into a night drive using spotlights, to find smaller nocturnal animals or predators on the hunt. Bush walks bring another dimension to a safari, focusing on smaller things, birds and flora while observing animals in the distance. Bush walks are not strenuous but can take place over rugged terrain, lasting usually 3 to 4 hours. In between your activities, that is if you have not already tried it, enjoy pure relaxation in the only natural hot spring in the Luangwa Valley, while being presented with magnificent views over the flood plains and the Luangwa River.

Today, you will be driven to the southern part of the park to Island Bush camp, about a 2 – 3 hour drive from Kafunta River Lodge. The focus of activities during your stay here will be on walking and exploring this exclusive and remote part of the park on foot.

In Island Bush Camp, you'll enjoy a pure and remote wilderness area to enjoy walks in the morning and afternoon. Bush walks bring a different experience to the safari, focusing on smaller animals, critters, birds, and flora. Bigger animals are also often seen such as elephants, giraffes, and antelopes, and occasionally predators such as lions, leopards, and wild dogs.

Day 6
Off to Livingstone
Off to Livingstone
Today, you will be transferred back to Mfuwe Airport for your scheduled flight to Livingstone via Lusaka. On arrival at Livingstone Airport, you will be met by a driver from Waterberry Lodge and embark on a 45-minute transfer to the lodge, your home for the next 3 nights. Here, you can enjoy two activities per day consisting of a guided tour of Victoria Falls on the Zambian side, a daytime and sunset cruise, island picnics, a Livingstone town and shopping tour, and a local school and village trip.

Explore Victoria Falls and Life around Livingstone
You'll spend the day enjoying two activities and all that Waterberry has to offer. You'll go on a guided tour of Victoria Falls on the Zambian Side, a daytime and sunset cruise, island picnics, and a visit to Livingstone Town with a shopping tour. The highlight is a visit to a completely uncommercial local village where many of the Waterberry staff live, giving you a unique view of life in rural Zambia. The Waterberry guide shows you daily life, housebuilding, agriculture, and the Tukongote School built with guest donations.

Relax and Explore the Zambezi
Breakfasts, brunches, and lunches are a casual affair prepared in camp, out on the river, or in the bush, tailored to suit your safari activities and personal preferences. A sunset cruise is the perfect way to end your day, relaxing in the peace of the Zambezi with a gin and tonic and snacks, watching whatever wildlife comes your way, and with a virtually guaranteed perfect sunset. In the evening, you will enjoy a variety of signature dishes prepared by the local chefs.
