Upon arrival, you will be greeted by our driver at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) and be briefed about your upcoming safari program. After the briefing, you will be transferred to your hotel in Nairobi, which will be booked on a bed and breakfast basis. Freshen up and enjoy your overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2

Nairobi - Samburu National Reserve

Nairobi - Samburu National Reserve

After an early breakfast, you will be picked from the hotel at 0630hrs by your driver-guide and transferred to Samburu National Reserve, arriving in time for lunch in the afternoon. Check in to your luxury tented camp, have lunch, and enjoy some relaxation. In the evening you’ll go on a game drive in the park, which is famous for being the home of the Samburu semi-nomadic community, the reticulated giraffe, the Grevy’s zebra, gerenuk, beisa oryx, and the blue-necked Somali ostrich (that are rarely found elsewhere in the country). Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the camp.

Day 3

Begin the day with an early morning game drive, taking advantage of the perfect morning light in this dry, semi-arid park. Search for elephants, lions, cheetahs, Grevy’s zebras, Somali ostriches, reticulated giraffes, and a variety of other wildlife and bird species. You’ll return to the camp for breakfast. The rest of the morning is free, but you have the option to visit the local Samburu community to experience their traditional way of life in a cultural village (Manyatta) at an additional cost. Lunch will be served at the camp, followed by an afternoon game drive.

Samburu National Reserve is set against the stunning backdrop of Mount Ololokwe and is bordered to the south by the Ewaso Nyiro River, which separates it from Buffalo Springs National Reserve. The reserve is home to the rare reticulated giraffe, found only in Kenya’s northern parks, as well as the long-necked gerenuk gazelle and the straight-horned beisa oryx.

Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the camp.

After an early morning breakfast, you’ll check out and proceed on a journey to Lake Nakuru National Park, a birdlife haven located at the floor of the Great Rift Valley. Upon arrival, check in and enjoy a relaxing lunch before preparing for an afternoon game drive.

Lake Nakuru National Park is a world-class bird-watching safari destination, featuring thousands of pink flamingos and over 400 bird species, including the African fish eagle, goliath heron, hammerkops, pied kingfishers, white pelicans, starlings, and crab plovers. The park is also home to over 100 white and black rhinos, the endangered Rothschild’s giraffe, and more than 50 other animal species such as buffalos, waterbucks, lions, zebras, and impalas.

Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the lodge.

After an early morning game drive followed by breakfast, you will check out and proceed to the famous Masai Mara Game Reserve, driving along the floor of the Great Rift Valley. Arrive in time for lunch, check in at the camp, and an enjoyable, relaxing meal.

In the afternoon, you’ll embark on a game drive to explore the Masai Mara Game Reserve. Later you will return to the camp for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 6

After breakfast, you’ll leave the camp with a picnic lunch in hand for a full-day of game viewing in this famous national reserve. You will spot thousands of wildlife, including buffalos, hippos in the Mara River, lions, rhinos, giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, leopards, various antelope species, and elephants.

The annual Great Migration, a once-in-a-lifetime natural wonder, takes place in the Mara from July to September, when millions of wildebeests and zebras migrate from the Serengeti in search of water and fresh pasture. The Masai Mara is also home to many members of the Maasai community, including the Moran (warriors), who may be seen around the park’s borders.

Later you will return to the camp for dinner and your overnight stay.

After breakfast, you’ll check out and depart for Lake Naivasha, located at the floor of the Great Rift Valley. Arrive in the afternoon for lunch at the country club, a charming resort set along the shores of the stunning Lake Naivasha. Check in and enjoy your meal while relaxing.

In the late afternoon, you will embark on a boat ride excursion across Lake Naivasha to Crescent Island Game Sanctuary, often considered Naivasha’s best-kept secret. Enjoy a guided walking safari on the island, which lies in the middle of the lake. The shores are home to a diverse range of birds and graceful wildlife, including zebras, giraffes, and buffalo, among others.

Later you will return to the resort for dinner and your overnight stay.
