Our representative will pick you up in Kigali between 7 am and 11 am and drive you to Bwindi National Park. The drive to Uganda will go through Rwanda's northern town of Ruhengeri. You will then cross into Uganda via the Cyanika or Katuna border post. The trip continues through the nearby Kisoro or Kabale town and Bwindi National Park. The journey from Kigali to Bwindi National Park will take approximately 5 hours. On arrival at Bwindi National Park in the early afternoon, you can do optional activities such as canoeing at Lake Mutanda, visiting the Batwa community, and having a coffee-making experience. Note: Before driving to Uganda, we can organize a complimentary Kigali city tour (including visiting the Genocide Museum).

Gorilla Trekking Adventure and Transfer to Kigali
You will head to the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park gate immediately after breakfast to get a briefing about the gorilla trek. The national park guide will present what to expect during the gorilla trek. The national guide will assign the gorilla trekking group during the pre-trekking briefing. Other visitors will likely join you. The gorilla trek can take a few or many hours, depending on how far the gorillas are inside the forest.
You will return to Kigali, Rwanda, immediately after the gorilla trekking adventure at Bwindi National Park. Since gorilla trekking can sometimes take more than 5 hours, it is recommended not to book a flight out of Kigali that departs before 10 PM local time. Note that the Uganda time zone (EAT) is one hour ahead of the Rwanda time zone (CAT).
