Get ready for an exciting start to the 10-day Bush to Beach Safari. We begin with a 7:40 am transfer from O.R. Tambo International Airport to Ohrigstad, arriving by 12:30 pm. Your friendly guide will lead you along the iconic Panorama Route.

First, explore Pilgrim’s Rest, a living museum from the Gold Rush era. Wander through quaint streets and preserved buildings. Next, enjoy lunch in Graskop (own expense), before visiting God’s Window for breathtaking views. Continue to Berlin Falls and Lisbon Falls, witnessing the beauty of cascading waterfalls. The day culminates at the Three Rondavels in the Blyde River Canyon, offering stunning rock formations and vistas.

Arrive at Forever Resort in the late afternoon. You’ll stay in comfortable chalets with 2 bedrooms, en-suite bathrooms, and a small kitchen. In the evening, a skilled chef will prepare a delicious meal at your chalet. Day 1 immerses you in natural wonders and cultural richness, setting the tone for an unforgettable safari.

We begin with an early morning safari, focusing on predators like leopards, lions, hyenas, cheetahs, and wild dogs. This early adventure offers the best chance to witness these magnificent creatures in action.

After the drive, enjoy breakfast at a picturesque picnic site. Back at camp, take a leisurely walk along the camp's fence, swim, relax or visit the camp's shop.

After lunch, we set out for an afternoon safari to encounter more incredible wildlife. Our guide will share fascinating insights about the animals and their behaviors. As the sun sets, return to camp, basking in the glow of a Kruger sunset. Enjoy a delectable dinner under the stars, featuring traditional South African dishes.

After dinner, embark on an exhilarating Kruger night drive with a seasoned ranger. Experience the thrill of encountering active predators, along with other fascinating nocturnal creatures. The sounds of the night and the excitement of spotting elusive animals make for an unforgettable experience.

Day 4

The adventure begins with morning coffee, setting the stage for exploring Satara. We aim to track down cheetahs in the expansive grasslands, providing thrilling moments to see them in action.

After an exhilarating drive, return to camp for breakfast before packing up and heading to Skukuza, about 90km away. Arriving at Skukuza around 1 pm, enjoy lunch at the camp restaurant by the Sabie River (own expense). Skukuza, the largest camp in Kruger, features serene riverine forest trees and offers various facilities.

Stay in traditional African thatched huts called rondavels, equipped with twin beds, a private washroom, a fridge, and air conditioning. Relax and explore the pool, park shop, museum, and scenic walkway along the river.

In the afternoon, venture into the Skukuza area, focusing on a lion pride of about 20 members. Observing such a large pride offers deep insights into their social structures and behaviors.

Conclude the day with dinner under the stars in our bush restaurant.

After the bush walk, enjoy breakfast. Then, pack up and head to Berg-en-Dal. Accommodations at Berg-en-Dal are traditional African chalets with twin beds, a private washroom, a small kitchen, and a patio.

Berg-en-Dal, situated in a mountainous area, boasts stunning scenery and riverine forests, providing an ideal habitat for elephants, leopards, and rhinos. In the afternoon, embark on a thrilling safari drive in the Berg-en-Dal area, aiming to encounter the Big Five.

As the sun rises, we’ll pause at a scenic picnic site for breakfast, enjoying the serene wilderness. Return to camp in the late morning where you’ll have time to relax and enjoy the camp’s facilities.

The afternoon promises a final safari drive in the Berg-en-Dal area, with chances to witness diverse wildlife. As sunset paints the sky, we return to camp.

We bid farewell to Kruger Park and head to Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Game Reserve. After breakfast, we swap our safari vehicle for a closed one. Our route covers about 550km. The drive offers captivating scenery, transitioning from Kruger’s expanses to Zululand’s lush landscapes.

Around midday, we stop for lunch at a local takeaway restaurant, enjoying local cuisine and stretching our legs. Continuing our journey, we approach Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Game Reserve in the late afternoon. The park is renowned for its rhino conservation efforts. At the entrance, we explore a traditional African crafts market.

Entering the park, we take a leisurely drive up to Hilltop Camp. Keep an eye out for rhinos, as Hluhluwe is home to both black and white rhinos. Accommodation at Hilltop Camp is in traditional thatched huts with 2 single beds and a fridge. Shared ablutions are nearby.

Following a morning of wildlife viewing, we gather for a delicious lunch. Our journey continues into the western section, Imfolozi, known for its jungle-like forests and leopard population. The picturesque setting adds excitement to our afternoon safari as we hope to encounter these elusive big cats.

Tonight, we rest at Mpila Rest Camp in luxury safari tents. These tents blend comfort and nature, featuring electricity, 2 beds, a private bathroom, a fan, a small kitchen, and a viewing deck. The tranquil surroundings are perfect for relaxing.

Begin with a final early morning game drive at sunrise, seeking favorite animals in the African bush. We return for breakfast at the lodge and reflect on wildlife sightings.

Afterwards, we depart the park and head south to the Dolphin Coast near Durban, stopping at an African craft market for souvenirs.

Upon arrival at the beachside near Durban, we conclude our safari. Consider staying at a guest house to unwind. Optionally, extend your trip with activities in Durban or transfer to King Shaka International Airport for departure. Day 10 marks the end of your 10-day Bush to Beach Safari, filled with wildlife encounters and lasting memories.
