Serengeti means the "endless plain" in the local African language. Watching the grassland stretch out as far as the eye can see and eventually merge with the sky at the horizon, is a breathtaking view. The Serengeti is home to the glorious Big Five (elephant, lion, buffalo, leopard, and rhino). Along with the Big Five, a very pleasant sighting would be one of the most beautiful animals, the impala.
