Day 1

Wake up for your last breakfast before starting the serious mountain trip. Early in the morning we will take you via Arusha - Moshi road. Depends on weather, on the way you may have a chance to spot for the first time majestic Kilimanjaro. You will enjoy short trekking inside the rainforest. We will take you for cultural walk around area to experience real-life local scenery, to see a waterfall and the cave near by Moshi Town. On the southern slopes of Africa's highest mounta, live the Chagga people. They are famous from producing some of the best coffee in Africa. You will have a chance to meet them and learn all about their way to product coffee and may even get to sample some of delicious items!
In the evening, you will meet your main mountain guide for quick briefing about the route and your climbing plan. You will have a chance to ask last questions before your life time adventure starts.

Day 2

Machame Gate to Machame Camp

Machame Gate to Machame Camp

Our guide will meet you bright and early at your acommodation place from where you will be taken to Machame Gate (aproximately 1 hour vehicle trip). At the National Park entrance (Machame Gate, 1,800 m) you will meet with all the guides and montain support crew, take part in equipment packing and deal with last formalities. Your chief will prepare an early lunch and then you will be ready to start the first part of trekk. You will be tranported from acommodation to Machame gate by our car Land Cruiser 4x4.
This day goal is to reach the Machame Camp (3,010 m). First pat of your route go through the rainforest. This area is commonly rainy - it can be steep and slipery and you have to be well prepared with all your waterproof stuff.

Day 3

Machame Camp to Shira Camp

Machame Camp to Shira Camp

After early breakfast you will start trekking up to the second high-altitude camp, Shira Camp (3,845 m). As the route heads toward Shira Plateau, low brush in the heather zone replace the rainforest. Although this part is not considered hard, you have to pay attention for any sign of high-altitude illness that may already appear. We do recommend to walk as slow as possible for better acclimatization. For the same reason, after having your lunch in the camp, you will hike another 300 m up untill Lava Tower Camp, than can back to Shira for dinner and overnight.

Day 4

Shira Camp to Barranco Camp

Shira Camp to Barranco Camp

After breakfast you will leave Shira Camp (3,845 m) and start hikking up until Lava Tower (4,630 m). Lava Tower is a vertical protrusion of volcanic rock and and it is considered one of the most recognazible view of the treck. As the altitude grows you will find yourself less comfortable. Beathing comes harder and you can feel some discomfort. In order to successfully acclimate to the altitude you are recommende to spend at least 1–2 hours at this point, so for that reason your lunch will be served here.
After lunch you will continue to Barranco Camp (3,960 m). From this camp you can enjoy amazing view for beggining of your next day trail - famous Barranco Wall. Although it looks very impressive and difficult to climb, don't worry: it features a very simple hiking trail.

Day 5

Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp

Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp

Karanga Camp (4,035 m) is situated not much further up than Barranco Camp. This is very important for your acclimatization! After hiking up to the top of majestic Barranco Wall (that should take around 1 hour) you will have a chance to see stunning view for Kibo volcano.
Then you start a more difficult hike until Karanga Camp. It features numerous ascents and descents during the route, it is harder as well according to height. Our guides will do the best to lead you through the best paths and at the camp you will be offered delicious lunch. You will have time to take some rest before doing around 200 m long acclimatization hike.

Day 6

Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp

Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp

In the morning after early breakfast you begin your way to Barafu Camp (4,640 m). The altitude will be noticable. Word 'barafu' in swahili language means 'ice' and you have to be prepared for some cold at this high. Barafu is your base camp for reaching the summit. Before you achieve it, our mountain crew will prepare camp in order you can rest and gain some power. After lunch, you will do an aclimatization hike till Kosovo Summit Camp (4,800 m) and then back to Barafu Camp, where you will be served a delicious dinner. Although you may find sleeping hard according to attitude (and growing enthusiasm before summiting), you will have some time to relax before night action.

Day 7

Barafu Camp to Uhuru and descent to Millennium Camp

Barafu Camp to Uhuru and descent to Millennium Camp

In order to reach the highest point of Kilimanjaro - the Uhuru Peak (5,895 m), you will have to leave at night time. After having some snacks and warming ginger tea, you will start hike to the top. There are no technical difficulties on the way, although the hardest part is to win the combat against the height and your own weakness. For security reasons and your comfort, we will provide a guide for each pair of climbers. Our team will give you best support untill Uhuru Peak and on the way you will enjoy one of the most beautiful sunrise.
After your successful ascent to you can descend untill Barafu Camp and after some rome rest continue your descent to Millennium Camp (3,820 m).

Day 8

Millennium Camp to Mweka Gate

Millennium Camp to Mweka Gate

The camp is situated in a tropical rainforest. On this high you will find sleeping more pleasant and hapiness after reaching the top will be overhelming. You will have a chance to see most of the supporting crew off. There is still some trek to do untill the park's exit: Mweka Gate (1,650 m). You will be served lunch after achving the exit and transport to Moshi for your accomodation place or the airport (if applicable). On the meantime you will be rewarded with commemorative certificate.
