The drive from Moshi to Lake Manyara National Park takes about four hours. After enjoying a picnic lunch in Manyara, you will embark on a late afternoon game drive, the best time to observe animals in this park. Approaching from the east, the Rift Valley escarpment rises majestically on the horizon, providing an impressive backdrop to the lake. In the tall trees of the groundwater forest, monkeys leap from branch to branch, while elephants seek shade on the escarpment. Other animals frequently seen in the park include zebras, impalas, giraffes, buffalos and hippos. You will spend the night at the campsite.
