Day 1

The drive from Moshi to Lake Manyara National Park takes about four hours. After enjoying a picnic lunch in Manyara, you will embark on a late afternoon game drive, the best time to observe animals in this park. Approaching from the east, the Rift Valley escarpment rises majestically on the horizon, providing an impressive backdrop to the lake. In the tall trees of the groundwater forest, monkeys leap from branch to branch, while elephants seek shade on the escarpment. Other animals frequently seen in the park include zebras, impalas, giraffes, buffalos and hippos. You will spend the night at the campsite.

Day 2
Serengeti National Park
Serengeti National Park
The drive to Serengeti National Park via Olduvai Gorge takes approximately three to four hours. Olduvai Gorge is an archaeological site in the eastern Serengeti plains, where some of the earliest human fossils were discovered. The area features a stunning landscape shaped by the same tectonic forces that created the Great Rift Valley millions of years ago. In the late evening, you will continue your drive to the campsite for an overnight stay. Meals are provided on a full board basis.

Day 3
Serengeti National Park
Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, head out to explore the remote corners of the Serengeti for a full day of game viewing. Bring a picnic lunch to enjoy at your leisure as you explore this UNESCO World Heritage Site, home to the largest concentration of plain game on Earth. In the late evening, return to the campsite to relax, have dinner and spend the night.

Day 4
Ngorongoro Crater
Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive inside the crater. This is the best place in Tanzania to see black rhinos and prides of lions that include magnificent black-manned males. You will also find colorful flamingos and a variety of water birds. Other wildlife you may encounter include leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, various members of the antelope family, and small mammals. Dinner and overnight accommodations will be at the campsite. Full board included.

Day 5
Tarangire National Park
Tarangire National Park
The drive from the campsite to Tarangire National Park takes about two hours. Tarangire is especially spectacular during the Dry season when many migratory wildlife species return to the permanent waters of the Tarangire River. Large herds of wildebeest, zebras, elephants, elands and oryx gather in Tarangire until the rains begin, prompting their migration to better grazing areas. In the late afternoon, you will drive back to the hotel in Moshi.
