Flight From Zanzibar to Selous & Boat Safari

The package starts at Zanzibar or Dar Es Salaam. Our professional driver will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to the airport, whereby you will board your scheduled flight departing at 07h00, usually on a Cessna Caravan. Once you arrive at Mtemere Airstrip in Selous at around 08h00, you will be met by our driver- guide who will transfer you to Selous Kinga Lodge.

You’ll have ample time at leisure before lunch. Later, at around 16h00 you’ll leave for a Sunset Boat Safari along the Great Rufiji River. This amazing cruise usually lasts about two hours. Awesome views of hippos growling, crocodiles basking on the banks and the abundant birdlife will spice up your spectacular dusk!

Full Day Game Drive at Nyerere National Park(Selous GR)

After a full breakfast, you’ll drive into the vast Nyerere National Park to explore the diverse wildlife and undisturbed nature for a full day. Countless elephants, buffaloes, prides of lions, giraffes, zebras, and impalas are quite common. Selous is also quite famous for having many African wild dogs.

Enjoy a picnic lunch break from a safe vantage point while taking in the beautiful scenery and watching wildlife in their natural habitat, then you will continue with your magnificent game drive. In the evening drive back to the lodge for rest, dinner & overnight

Full-Day Game drive in Nyerere National park(Selous GR) & visit Hot Spring

After a full breakfast, you will drive into the vast Selous Game Reserve to explore the diverse wildlife and undisturbed nature for a full day. Countless elephants, buffaloes, prides of lions, giraffes, zebras, and impalas are common. Selous is also famous for having many African wild dogs.

On this specific day your driver-guide will drive you to the most wonderful place called Beho Beho Chemka hot spring where by you can relax and refresh your body by swimming, but visiting the hot spring will depend on the the accessibility of the road since during rainy season its a bit difficult for vehicles to go there due to the roads being very muddy.

Enjoy a picnic lunch break from a safe vantage point while taking in the beautiful scenery and watching wildlife in their natural habitat. In the evening drive back to the lodge for rest, dinner & overnight

Walking Safari, Village Tour & Flight to Zanzibar/ Dar es Salaam

After morning tea or coffee, you will depart the lodge and make your way into the reserve for a walking safari accompanied by an armed ranger. The park has a variety of vegetation zones, ranging from dense thickets to open wooded grasslands. After the walking safari, transfer back to the lodge for a full breakfast. Later, you'll leave for a village tour before lunch, you'll then have ample time to relax. You'll check out at around 15h00 and be transferred to Mtemere Airstrip for departure on your scheduled flight at around 16h00 to Zanzibar or Dar es Salaam Airport.
