Day 1
Nairobi – Amboseli National Park Safari

08h00: After breakfast at the hotel in Nairobi, we drive through the scenic Athi Plains and into the bush country of Amboseli National Park. The park is home to the legendary Maasai tribesmen and is famous for vast herds of elephants.
12h00: We will arrive in good time for lunch, followed by relaxation, swimming, and enjoying the campgrounds.
15h00: We have our afternoon tea, coffee, or hot chocolate before setting out on the afternoon game drive till dusk.
Amboseli National Park is home to wild animals, including the African elephant, buffalo, impala, lion, cheetah, hyena, giraffe, zebra, and wildebeest. The park also hosts a good number of birds. Your guide, who is also a professional birder, will help you identify a good number of bird species.
18h30: Return to Amboseli Sopa Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2
Amboseli – Lake Nakuru National Park

08h00: After breakfast, we head back toward Nairobi and continue driving through the stunning scenery of Kenya’s Great Rift Valley to explore Lake Nakuru National Park. Along the way, we make a brief stopover at the Rift Valley viewpoint for a morning view of the majestic Mount Longonot and the breathtaking view of the Rift Valley.
11h00: Arrive in Lake Nakuru National Park and proceed on a game drive.
13h00: Enjoy your picnic lunch at the Baboon Cliff viewpoint before proceeding on the game drive.
Lake Nakuru's birdlife is world-renowned and offers over 400 species of both aquatic and terrestrial birds. Lake Nakuru's animals include black and white rhino, buffalo, leopard, lion, Rothschild's giraffe, white and black colobus monkey, eland, steenbok, impala, Chandler's reedbuck, dik-dik, rock hyrax, klipspringer, hippo, and clawless otter.
18h00: Return to Lake Nakuru Flamingo Hill Camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 3

08h00: Depart the hotel after breakfast and drive through the dramatic Great Rift Valley to the Masai Mara National Reserve. On our way, we pass through Lake Naivasha for a boat-trip experience. Later, we proceed to the reserve which is part of the vast Serengeti plains. It is famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest migration and is home to the Big Five (lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo, and rhino).
13h00: Have lunch at the lodge and relax before departing for the afternoon "spice” game drive.
The Masai Mara NR is one of the greatest wildernesses in the world. Large mammals are varied and easy to see. Residents in the park are the Maasai giraffe, buffalo, eland, and thousands of plains game including impala, zebra, topi, and both Thomson’s and Grant's gazelle. You will also enjoy a walking safari with an armed guide along the Mara River (optional). A nature walk led by a Maasai warrior is also available.
We return to the Jambo Mara Safari Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4

Our full day in the Masai Mara National Reserve will be spent searching for the big cats of the Masai Mara and the spectacular view of the famous migration.
All of the “Big Five” animals (elephant, lion, leopard, rhino, and buffalo) can be spotted here. Herds of plains zebras are found throughout the park. Other animals include giraffes, jackals, gnus, warthogs, gazelles, hartebeests, hyenas, bat-eared foxes, topi antelopes, and hippos and crocodiles in the Mara River.
For bird lovers, Mara's birds come in every color and size. More than 400 bird species have already been recorded here, including birds of prey. You can enjoy a colorful view of birds such as vultures, ostriches, long-crested eagles, pygmy falcons, secretary birds, marabous, red-winged Schalow’s turacos and many others.

Day 5

06h00: If you are not participating in the hot-air balloon ride, enjoy a tea, coffee or hot chocolate followed by a morning game drive. On the plains are enormous herds of grazing animals plus the elusive cheetah and leopard hiding amidst acacia trees.
09:30: Return to the camp for breakfast.
10:00: Go on an optional visit to an authentic Maasai village (at an extra cost) to witness the singing and dancing that are part of their daily lives and sacred rituals.
11:00: Depart the Mara and drive back to Nairobi, arriving in the late afternoon.
