Day 1

Your guide will meet you at 7:30 am at a pre-arranged meeting point in Maun. From Maun, you will drive through to Moremi / Khwai, one of the best wilderness areas of Botswana, which covers swamp and dry areas. The next two days will be spent searching for the wide variety of wildlife and birds that this area is renowned for while absorbing the sounds and beauty of this region. Game drives in the early morning as the sun rises and in the late afternoon as the sun sets will be the norm.
Camping will be in private designated campsites with ensuite bush ablutions on every tent.

Day 2
Khwai Concession/ Moremi
Khwai Concession/ Moremi
You'll enjoy game drives to explore the region surrounding the Khwai river (North-east Moremi / Khwai Concession). A mokoro excursion will take you along a tributary of the Khwai River to view game from another perspective and to experience this tranquil mode of transport.

Day 3-4
Savuti
Savuti
Chobe National Park, with its diverse and striking landscapes, will be your next destination. As you continue your search for wildlife, you will traverse the drier region of Savuti, where bull elephants dot the plains. Savuti is very well known for its predators such as lion, leopard, cheetah, and even African wild dog. The Savuti Channel has started flowing again after being dry for the last 30 years. The arrival of water is changing the landscape as well as accommodating different species that historically have not been able to survive in the rather arid plains of Savuti. This exciting event has allowed large breeding herds of elephant as well as buffalo to visit the area. Camping will be in private designated campsites with ensuite bush ablutions on every tent. You will explore this area for 2 days.

Day 5-6
Chobe Floodplain - Chobe National Park
Chobe Floodplain - Chobe National Park
You will then head northwards to the Chobe River, where your game drives will meander along the banks of the river, followed by the call of the majestic African Fish Eagle. The Chobe River Floodplain is an amazing wildlife viewing area where water attracts large herds of buffalo, elephant, zebra, and other herbivores. Due to the proliferation of prey, predators are likely to be close at hand. Sunsets in this region are always spectacular and allow amazing photographic opportunities.
Camping will be in private designated campsites with en-suite bush ablutions on every tent. You will spend 2 days exploring Northern Chobe and the Floodplains.

Day 7
Kasane, End of Safari
Kasane, End of Safari
The safari officially ends at noon in Kasane after a cruise on the Chobe River. This experience allows you to get a closer look at the aquatic animals and birds that are not easily approached on safari. Lunch will be available at your own cost once you are back in Kasane. For guests going to Kasane Airport or surrounding lodges, Livingstone, or Victoria Falls, your transfer pick-up can be arranged from 12:15 pm from Kalahari Tours. If you are staying in one of the local Kasane lodges, your guide will be able to drop you off.
