Day 1

Collect your rental vehicle from the Cape Town international airport or near your hotel and head for the spectacular Clarence Drive on your way to Betty’s Bay where you'll visit Africa’s largest penguin colony. These are a critically endangered species.

Meander on your way to the charming coastal town of Hermanus known for being the world’s best land-based whale-watching destination between the months of June to December.
Your journey continues along the Southern Cape Coast with a stop in Elim, a 19th-century Moravian Missionary village and where you'll find quaint cottages with thatched roofs.
You'll continue to the coastal village of Agulhas (the southernmost tip of the continent), where you have time to relax, hike, or swim in the warmer Indian Ocean. Fresh fish for dinner perhaps!

Please note that we will meet and greet you before your departure. I will go through your itinerary in detail, handing over information, vouchers, detailed maps and gifts.

Day 2

Big Five Safari in a Private Game Reserve & Southernmost Point of Africa

This morning you'll visit the lighthouse and walk along the boardwalk to Agulhas Point. You'll travel through the wheat lands of the Southern Cape to Mossel Bay and visit the museum and Post Office Tree where the ancient Portuguese mariners started S.A's first post office. You'll walk up to the Khoisan cave, after which you'll enjoy a light lunch on the beach.
At Botlierskop Private Game Reserve, a game ranger will take you on a 3-hour safari drive, where you will encounter the Big Five.

From Botlierskop travel to Oudtshoorn, capital of the Little Karoo and home to the world's largest ostrich farms. You'll enjoy its spectacular arid landscapes, star-lit sky, and of course the famous Cango Caves.

Your luxury guest house is on a working ostrich farm to watch a classic Karoo sunset. After an excellent (optional) 3-course dinner, you'll watch the majesty of the Southern African night sky as the stars mesmerize and wrap you in their arms.

After breakfast, you'll visit the Cango Caves for a guided tour of the most beautiful caves in the world where a succession of galleries, the finest dripstone caverns, and limestone formations can be admired.

You'll visit the world’s oldest working ostrich farm for an informative and interactive tour of these strange birds.
Here, you'll have the opportunity to taste the world's finest ostrich steak.

You'll continue to Montagu along the famous Route 62 with picturesque villages and local handicrafts.
You'll follow the Breede River Valley wine route and stop at Viljoendrif for a wine tasting on the banks of the Breede River.
Driving through the Huguenot tunnel, Africa’s largest, gives you an insight into the huge obstacle for the first pioneers leaving the Cape for the interior.
You'll be passing through Paarl which takes its name from the granite domes, founded by the French Huguenots.

You'll arrive in Cape Town around 6:00 pm.
