Day 1

A Buyaga Safaris guide will pick you up from the airport at 8:00 AM and start your drive to Kibale Forest National Park for chimp tracking. Arrive at your lodge in the evening and relax as you enjoy the beautiful weather and cool winds from the forest. You will have dinner and overnight at Kibale Forest Lodge (breakfast, lunch, and dinner).

Chimps tracking in Kibale Forest National Park

After breakfast, you will drive to Kibale Forest National Park to hike and track chimpanzees. A guide will inform you on the primates you are to see as well as the forest plants and animals. The morning hike will expose you to chimpanzees, phoestes, red colobuses, and red-tailed and grey-cheeked mangabeys. You will return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, you visit Bigodi Swamp, an astonishing place to watch rare and gorgeous flora and fauna. Return for dinner and overnight at the lodge (breakfast, lunch, and dinner).

Day 3

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Start the day with breakfast and then transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park for check-in at your lodge and have lunch. Go for a boat excursion along the Kazinga Channel for an opportunity to see hippos at close range, crocodiles from the boat and buffaloes in the shallow waters. The Kazinga Channel shoreline is home to a collection of birds like the pink-backed pelican, fish eagle, pied and malachite kingfisher, saddle-billed stork, and many more. We have dinner and our overnight stay at Aardvark Safari Lodge.

Day 4

Transfer to Bwindi National Forest for gorillas

Transfer to Bwindi National Forest for gorillas

We start the day off with breakfast and then go on a game drive through the park. You will see tree-climbing lions on the Ishasha side of the park. On your way to Bwindi National Forest, you will see elephants, leopards, buffaloes, hyenas, and an assortment of antelope species. Lunch will be served en-route. Arrive at Bakiga Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Gorilla tracking experience and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

Have breakfast and then go for gorilla tracking. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park inhabits almost half of the world’s 650 mountain gorillas. Start climbing early with a tracker, even though seeing gorillas depends on their day’s movements. Gorillas are naturally reserved and non-violent animals. It is a memorable and thrilling experience to watch them and possibly photograph these mild giants at a close range. Return to the hotel for lunch and relaxation. Later, you can visit the community and shop for works of art. Return in the evening for dinner and overnight at BirdNest Resort Bunyonyi.
