Track the Great Migration in North Serengeti

Set out early in the morning with breakfast and a picnic lunch to explore the breathtaking Northern Serengeti, a truly unique landscape that stands apart from any other area in the park. Your game drive will focus along the Mara River, following the migration paths as animals cross between Serengeti and Masai Mara. Depending on the season, you may witness the dramatic crossings, where thousands of wildebeest and zebras brave the waters teeming with Nile crocodiles. Unlike other areas, the Northern Serengeti is the only place where animals cross the Mara River multiple times due to the long rainy season, making it an exceptional location for migration sightings. Even outside of peak migration, this region is rich with wildlife, from majestic elephants and big cats to hippos lounging in the river. With stunning scenery, diverse habitats, and incredible wildlife interactions, this game drive offers an unforgettable experience in the heart of the wild.

The Lobo rocks are home to one of the largest lion prides in the region, and predators like hyenas and cheetahs are often seen hunting.

Not all animals migrate, so you may find resident zebras and wildebeests grazing near springs like Klein’s Gate, which provide fresh water and lush grass.
