Safari from Dar es Salaam to Nyerere National Park

Early in the morning, at 4:30am, drive from Dar es Salaam to Nyerere National Park. After arriving, enjoy a full-day game drive in a modified safari vehicle with a professional guide.

Great animal sightings, including those of the favorites like lions, elephants, giraffes, buffalos, zebras, and the now rare African hunting dog, are to be expected. You will also see a large variety of birds and incredible scenery with varied topography, including wetlands, dry grassland, light acacia forest, and higher ground with vast views of far-off mountains. In the afternoon, at 1:30pm, you will have a lunch box before continuing with a game up to mid-afternoon. Dinner and overnight will be at Selous Safari Lodge.

Boat tour and Return to Dar es Salaam

After breakfast, you will drive to the Rufiji River for a boat tour.

Nestled within the woodland along the banks of the great Rufiji River, enjoy spectacular sightings of hippos, crocodiles, and birds. The sunrise over this enormous river is a sight to remember! After the boat tour, return to Selous Safari Lodge and prepare for the drive back to Dar es Salaam.
