Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest volcano caldera formed three million years ago and is considered one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World and one of Africa's most remarkable geological sites.
The crater has a unique ecosystem that is inhabited by more than 25,000 resident animals. In the grass steppes and acacia forest you can encounter almost every animal species of the East African savannah, including the Big Five (rhino, elephant, Cape buffalo, lion, leopard). In the evening, you will ascend the crater and proceed to your lodging inside Tarangire National Park for a leisurely evening and dinner.
Nature walk on complimentary: Feel and touch the African bush! At Maramboi Camp, you may choose to do a nature walk to Manyara and back. This would be a great opportunity to get out of your vehicle, stretch your muscles a bit, and do something different!
