In the morning, you will be picked up from the airport or your hotel and depart to Lake Manyara National Park. The park is famous for its tree-climbing lions and the flamingos on the lakeshore. This park is also noted for its beauty and incredibly lush acacia forest of giant fig and mahogany trees which are home to troops of baboons and blue monkeys. The shallow alkaline lake covers a large area of the park, flooding and drying with the seasons and is home to thousands of flamingos during the rainy season. Other animals that can be seen here include giraffes, elephants, impalas, and hippos.
After lunch, it is time to stretch your legs and walk through the village of Mto wa Mbu. Accompanied by your experienced guide, you will visit local farms, food markets, rice paddies, and a banana beer bar, and do other local activities. After the experience around Mto wa Mbu, you will proceed to your accommodation for evening leisure and an overnight stay.

Serengeti National Park
Wake up for an early breakfast in your accommodation. You will then depart with your packed lunch and head to Serengeti National Park, the famous park with its vast open grasslands that allow for excellent sightings of wildlife. The climate and vegetation here remained largely untouched for millions of years. Although the Serengeti boasts rich wildlife, it is perhaps most famous for the annual great migration where vast numbers of wildebeest, accompanied by large numbers of zebra and antelope, move in an annual pattern, constantly seeking fresh grazing. The timing of the migration is entirely dependent upon the rainfall patterns each year.
After an extensive game drive, we head to our accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Serengeti National Park with a Sunset Walk on the Crater Rim
You have another day dedicated to your final game drive in Central Serengeti National Park, well known as a wildlife sanctuary and the heart of the Serengeti. This part is the richest in wildlife, including the Big Five (elephant, lion, buffalo, leopard, and rhino). For bird lovers, over 500 bird species have been recorded here including vultures, owls, bustards, cranes, and secretary birds.
After lunch, we depart to the Ngorongoro Highlands for a sunset walk on the crater rim with an armed ranger. This a great chance to watch out for forest birds such as sunbirds and cinnamon-chested bee-eaters, animals, and indigenous plants. You can come across animals like giraffe, zebra, and elephant (it will be safe with your armed ranger). After a wonderful experience, you will proceed to your accommodation for an overnight stay.

Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, you will proceed with a game drive toward the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the world’s natural wonders. Ngorongoro is thought to have been formed about 2.5 million years ago from a large active volcano that collapsed inward after a major eruption, leaving the vast, unbroken caldera as its chief remnant. The cohabitation of man and animal makes Ngorongoro unique in Tanzania. Your experienced driver guide will explain more about this incredible crater life.
The crater floor water supports a resident population of more than 25,000 large animals including elephants, lions, leopards, hyenas, jackals, hippos, waterbucks, and baboons. If lucky, you will also spot the rare black rhinos. Later, you will ascend from the crater and drive back to Arusha.
This will mark the end of your 4-day safari with the Mazingira team. Accommodation at Arusha or transfer to the airport can be booked at an extra cost.
