Dar es salaam to Nyerere NP + Boat

We will pick you up from your place in Dar es Salaam at 08hr30 and depart to Nyerere National park. The journey takes 4.5, you'll arrive in the afternoon and have lunch at the camp, you'll enjoy a boat safari along the mighty Rufiji River.

This will get you to close contact with hippos, crocodiles and fantastic birdlife, as they make their way to the river to drink. Boats may approach elephants, lions, buffalo, giraffes, waterbuck and other game, a few meters from the river banks. Crocodiles glide into the water as your boat approaches and hippos appear in frightening proximity, grunting and blowing steam, the boat tour will be from 16hr00 to 18hr30!

Nyerere National Park Game Drive

After breakfast, explore Selous with full day game drive with lunch box. Enjoy lunch under the shade of the tree and overlooking Rufiji River. Selous boost larger population of Elephants, Buffalo, Hippo, Crocodile and endangered Wild dog.

Commonly seen are pride of Lion, Bush buck, Impala, Warthogs, Ostrich, Giraffe, Eland, Baboon, Zebra, Hyena, Kudu, rare sable antelope and Leopard. In Selous there are more than 400 species of bird life: Fish eagle, Kingfisher, Secretary bird, Sunbird, Hammer kop, Red & Yellow bill stork, Open bill stork, Weavers, Water birds, Marabou stork, Vulture’s etc. Overnight at Nyerere Tented Camp.

Walking Tour-Dar es Salaam

In the morning at 06hr30, you'll enjoy a wilderness walking safari before breakfast. A walking safari will give you a particularly intimate feel for the African wilds.

You'll get a good chance to see giraffes, zebras, elephants, and good birding. An armed ranger will guide you during the 2-hour walking safari. Afterward, you'll meet your driver at the reserve gate and drive to Dar es salaam. You will be arriving late in the afternoon and you'll be dropped off at your hotel or airport or ferry.
