On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, a representative of Kagera Safaris will receive you and transfer you to your hotel. Depending on arrival time you will have dinner served, otherwise you will check in and go straight to your room as you wait to travel the next day.

Day 2

To Kibale Forest Via Entanda Cultural Experience

To Kibale Forest Via Entanda Cultural Experience

After a breakfast, you will be transferred to Kibale national park by road. You will have a stopover for a cultural experience in Kijjude village for the Entanda cultural experience. Enjoy a buffet of fresh organic fruits, Music, dance & drama, Cooking classes and lunch - traditional food. Have Kojja and Senga talks on traditional child grooming, discipline etc and end with participation of traditional games depending on time.

Continue on your journey to Kibale forest to your lodge for check in, dinner and then overnight.

Day 3

Chimpanzee Trekking and Bigodi Village Walk

Chimpanzee Trekking and Bigodi Village Walk

After an early breakfast, you transfer to the briefing before you can start your chimp trek. After a briefing from the ranger guide about the expectations while in the forest, you will be divided into different groups to start your chimp trek. Your experienced ranger guide will lead you as you hike through the tropical forest for a rewarding experience in search of man’s closest relatives, the chimpanzees. Once you locate them, you have an opportunity to stay for one hour with them. The trek can take anything from 1 to 3 hours.

After lunch, take a walk in Bigodi community – proceeds from this help with community development. After this experience return to the lodge for some evening relaxing, dinner and overnight.

Day 4

Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Today you will transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park after breakfast. The drive takes you through Queen Elizabeth National Park. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park – the home to half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas – is a UNESCO World Heritage Site hosting numerous tree species, birdlife, primates, mammals, insects, etc.

You will have stop overs for sight seeing, stretching and lunch. You will finally arrive at your lodge, check in. Spend the evening relaxing at the lodge, later have dinner and overnight.

Day 5

Gorilla Trekking

Gorilla Trekking

Gorillas are amazing creatures with so much energy, yet they are known as the gentle giants of Bwindi. The tour guide will transfer you to the briefing area where you will be allocated a gorilla family to track. The gorilla trek can take anything from a few minutes to several hours depending on where they nested the previous night. Once you locate the gorillas with help of your guide and trackers, you are allowed to stay with them for only one hour.

Return to the lodge, freshen up and enjoy the evening breeze. You will later have dinner and overnight.
