Transfer out of Kampala – Rhino Tracking at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

With an early breakfast, we will depart the crazy city of Kampala in the morning to start your Murchison Falls National Park safari. The adventure starts with rhino tracking on foot at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Get to experience one of the Big Five on foot. Afterward, we shall have lunch and drive straight to the lodge via the famous Karuma Falls which Joins the west Nile to the rest of the country. We will check in at the lodge for a relaxed evening as we get ready to enter Murchison Falls National Park for a cozy game drive in the savannah plains looking for the savannah animals. This is a grand start to your visit to this great animal home! Retire from the day at the lodge.

Game Drive, Boat Cruise and Hike to the Top of the Falls

Take an early cup of tea/coffee at the lodge and then set off for a game drive in the park. You have the chance of seeing big cats hunting, elephants, giraffes, buffalos, and more, as the checklist of mammals reaches 76. We will continue browsing the drive circuits to the Delta point for a cocktail of birds and mammals. Enjoy a relaxed lunch and then have a 3-hour boat ride to the base of the falls where you get to see the hippos. You have never seen more hippos yawning and grooming in their pods anywhere else like here. Believe me! You'll also see the Nile crocodiles, elephants and a variety of beautiful bird species along the banks. If you are a keen birder this might be your magnet to catch them. Continue with a hike to visit the top of the falls. This is a magnificent classic highlight on our 2nd day as an explosive dash of water at close range gushes through a narrow crevice. Retire from your busy day at the lodge as you sort the snaps taken during the day.

Morning Game Drive - Transfer Back to Kampala

After breakfast, set off for the drive back to Kampala. We will pass through the park to have the last glance of wildlife in this giraffe paradise. Have lunch and continue on to Kampala as we have reached the end of your Murchison Falls National Park safari.
