Start early from Kampala to transfer to Lake Mburo, the ‘Zebra magnet'. We stop over and take photo poses at the equator and continue driving past the town of Masaka. Shortly we reach Lake Mburo national park and drive out to the vast savanna dotted with acacia and shrubs, as we game drive in for view of Zebras, Topis, Warthogs, cape buffaloes and impalas. Check in at the lodge and have a relaxed evening game viewing.

Get early up for a safari walk in Lake Mburo national park to visit the hyenas den, chance to see Leopards, zebras, waterbucks, birds, buffaloes in there day break jungle life! After the safari walk get back to the lodge for breakfast before setting off with Lake Bunyonyi as the target destination. This is a lake at 1800 meters above sea level in an area with superb rich views and with small resident and exotic bird species singing. It is in this coolest area in Uganda below 10C some nights! It’s also a rare Bilharzia free lake (you can swim).

Have a relaxed breakfast before we set of for the journey to Bwindi Forest, the home of the mountain gorillas. The drive takes you through the magical cultivated hills it’s a beautiful drive through the neck of the impenetrable forest and it gets you to a point of over 2650 meters above sea level. Have lunch along the way or at the lodge depending on time. Take a community walk in the village Ruhija to see how the people in the mountains live and how the Batwa people used to live in the forest. Then you can relax at the lodge in the evening taking in the views of the mountains and forest.

After breakfast at around 7:45am with packed lunch and drinking water you will transfer to the starting point for briefing on the dos and the don’ts while with the gorillas. You will then continue to the forest for gorilla tracking following them. This activity can last from a few hours up to a full day, depending on the location of the gorillas as they range freely in the impenetrable forest. Relax at the lodge as you check on the naps taken while in the jungle. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

With an early breakfast, continue to Nteko the starting point of Nuring to Buhoma sector walk via the famous Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. This vast reserve offers arguably the most productive montane forest birding in Africa and supports 23 of Uganda’s 24 Albertine Rift endemic bird species. Once part of a much larger forest that included the Virunga Volcanoes in neighbouring Rwanda, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is now an ecological island within a sea of human cultivation and is of immense conservation importance. Proceed to the park headquarters for a nature walk from Nkuringo to Buhoma. Enjoy a 15km walk to Buhoma following the Kashasha river and Ivy River trails. This is a full day walk where there would be an opportunity of visiting the Munyaga River falls in the forest. The emphasis of this activity is for your walking guide to share his knowledge of the forest that you come into contact with and not simply an A to B. Retire your busy yet amzing day at the lodge.

Explore Queen Elizabeth national park in the cool morning with an early morning game-drive that exposes us to diverse animals, Big 5 members Elephants, Buffalos, big cats- Lions, Leopards more times in the evening, warthogs- Hunchback carnivals like Hyenas and many more species that are residents to this park are spotted along the Circuits as we drive along.

There is a rich bird life especially our version of storks in the wetland sports as we reach the Flamingoes in the salt lakes. At 3 pm you get ready for the Classic highlights on the 2hrs Boat cruise on the famous Kazinga channel, a 36kms channel linking Lake George and Lake Edward. After breakfast we head for the close by Kalinzu forest for chimps trekking. In this tropical rainforest a community of around 80 habituated chimps live as well as beautiful birds and other forest creatures. Enjoy a walk and hopefully have an exciting meeting with the chimpanzees. Get back to the lodge for lunch after the trek and have a relaxed afternoon. You can either relax at the lodge enjoying the view or go for village walks in the area letting you see village life and a nearby crater lake. Have dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Check in at the lodge and go for a guided walk taking you to see beautiful views of a crater lake and Bigodi wetland sanctuary hopefully some interesting primates such as Black and white colobus - red colobus and red tailed monkey plus colorful butterflies and various Bird species like the native Great blue Turaco. Retire your beautiful day at the lodge.

It’s a long drive 4½ hours (effective driving) to cut off the distance tomorrow, a couple of fruits during the drive the pressure and fatigue is lessened with punctuation of stopovers at scenery like tea plantations along the drive ways - typical African village setup in the far countryside offer us chances of stretching, as we check in late afternoon at the hotel in Hoima next to the escarpment overlooking Lake Albert and the blue mountains of DR Congo. Have a lazy evening at the lodge.

After a relaxed breakfast in the gardens, transfer to Murchison Falls national park. Have lunch at Red Chili rest camp. In the afternoon you go for the 2pm boat ride on the Nile to the base of Murchison Falls where you get to see the Hippos (You have never seen more hippos yawning, Grooming in there Pods anywhere else than here- Believe me you), Nile Crocodiles, Elephants and a variety of beautiful bird species along the banks. If you are a keen birder this might be your magnet to catch them. When reaching the falls you jump of the boat and go with a guide to the top of the falls. It is a beautiful hike that takes you to see the falls close up as an explosive dash of water at close range gushes through a narrow crevice before the Nile continues its journey towards the Mediterranean. Your guide picks you at the top of the falls and you continue on to the lodge. (This hike includes a steep trail so might not be suitable if you have some health issues.).

Take a morning game-drive to explore the broad savanna for sights of big cats hunting, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, plus more as the checklist of mammals in Murchison Falls national park reaches 76. We continue browsing the circuits to the Delta point for a cocktail of Birds and mammals. After the game-drive we leave the park to make the journey to Ziwa rhino sanctuary where they are working on reintroducing rhinos to Uganda. Go trekking the rhinos in the evening or early morning next day depending on time and where the rhinos are. Retire your busy day at the lodge as you reflect on what transpired during the day.

This day we visit the source of the mighty river Nile, you go out on a boat-ride on the river to see it close-up. Have lunch in Jinja and then start the journey to Entebbe taking you through Kampala where you the guide can point out some main sights. Arrive in Entebbe in the late afternoon/evening depending on traffic.
