1-Day Base of Kilimanjaro

• A transfer from the airport can be arranged for an extra cost.

0800 Hours: You will be picked from your hotel and drive to Marangu where the gate for Mt. Kilimanjaro National park is (1970 meters)
0900 Hours: At the gate you will meet with our well experienced guide who will give you brief information about the hike.

You will walk for about 3-4 hours to the first hut (Mandara hut) and you will arrive there in the afternoon.

1300 Hours: Lunch will be served when you reach the hut. From the hut you have a great view over Moshi district.

1400 Hours: After your lunch your guide will give you a short walk to Maundi crater before walking down to Marangu gate.

You will walk down to Marangu gate and this walk will take you about 2 hours walking slowly as you observe for anything that you might have missed on your way up.

1600 Hours: At Marangu National Park you will meet with transport from the hotel ready to take you back to the lodge.
1730 Hours to 1800 Hours: Return back to your hotel.
