After early breakfast depart for a morning game drive in the reserve, en-route to the gate. Landscape is beautiful and we had interesting animal sightings including gerenuk, fringe eared Orynx and lions mating. The combination of red earth and blue sky is stunning and the elephants covered in red are worth seeing. Park is well sign posted and we were able to borrow a laminated map from the park gate. Game drive time. Enjoyed exploring along the Voi River and also the area around the Galena Falls. A visit to the Voi Stockade in advance seeing the orphaned elephants return to the stockade in the afternoon for milk and bedtime was a highlight for us. Night at Voi safari lodge.
