Samburu Game Reserve
The day shall be spent with game viewing drives / relaxing interludes at the Samburu game reserve.
Game viewing drives in this dry and scenic game reserve are concentrated along the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro river. This is where most wildlife is found. The park is a haven for elephants, predators and the famous Special Five, the reserve is a perfect destination for wildlife and safari lovers and one of the biggest and most exciting reasons to visit Samburu national reserve are the quasi-endemic species found here that have adapted to the more arid and desert life such as the Gerenuk antelope - also known as the giraffe gazelle, is a long-necked, medium-sized antelope.
The best time to view wildlife is early morning and late in the afternoon once the the sunrays cool off.
The rest of the day will be at the lodge on a full board basis.

Samburu Game Reserve to Lake Nakuru National Park
Travel time is approximately – (250 km – Approx. 5 hours. Including brief stop overs where necessary)
Early morning game and scenery viewing drive as you exit the Samburu for Lake Nakuru National Park. There shall be a stop to view the Thompson falls at Nyahururu. Proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park, a birdlife heaven, at the floor of the Great Rift Valley.
Due to some progressive natural factors like increasing water levels, the flamingo numbers have been reducing but the park itself remains stunning. Great rocky escarpments tower over acacia forest, waterfalls, and wooded hills.
The few quantity of flamingos is accompanied by other birdlife – pelicans, cormorants, kingfishers, ostriches, storks as well as herons and eagles. The scene here is bountiful, busy and full of color.
Lake Nakuru is known for hosting some endangered but beautiful species. You’re sure to see rare Rothschild’s Giraffe, white rhino, and one of Kenya’s largest populations of black rhino.

A day to explore the Savannah Grass Land – Masai Mara Game Reserve.
Today shall be a game viewing extravaganza!
Maasai Mara remains the most exciting wildlife eco-system in the Savannah grassland. It is host to the highest and most varied concentration of wildlife than any other park in the region.
The scenic appeal of the tree studded savannah plains, the moderate climate and diversity of wild game species makes it a one stop shop for game viewing activities.
We shall traverse the park on a full day of unlimited game viewing encountering the big five and more of the lesser game.
We shall visit the Mara river where we may watch hippos & crocodiles or maybe the great migration (July – October) despite the well-known wildebeest migration, the Maasai Mara Game reserve is visited by many a cross all the year round as it host so many wildlife from January to December- therefore a visit to Kenya without visiting this park is not a complete holiday.
