Day 2
Samburu Game Reserve
Samburu Game Reserve
The day will be spent on game-viewing drives with relaxing interludes at the Samburu Game Reserve. Game viewing in this dry and scenic game reserve is concentrated along the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River. This is where most wildlife is found. The park is a haven for elephants, predators and the famous Special Five. The reserve is a perfect destination for wildlife and safari lovers. One of the biggest and most exciting reasons to visit Samburu National Reserve is the quasi-endemic species that have adapted to the more arid and desert life, such as the gerenuk antelope - also known as the giraffe gazelle - which is a long-necked medium-sized antelope.
The best time to view wildlife is early morning and late in the afternoon, once the day cool off. The rest of the day will be at the lodge on a full-board basis.

Samburu Game Reserve to Lake Nakuru National Park
Samburu Game Reserve to Lake Nakuru National Park
Travel time is approximately 5 hours (250km), including brief stops where necessary.
Go on an early morning game and scenery-viewing drive as you exit Samburu and head to Lake Nakuru National Park. There will be a stop to view the Thompson's Falls at Nyahururu. Proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park, a birdlife haven on the floor of the Great Rift Valley.
Due to some progressive natural factors like increasing water levels, the flamingo numbers have decreased, but the park remains stunning. Great rocky escarpments tower over acacia forests, waterfalls, and wooded hills. The small quantity of flamingos is accompanied by other birdlife, such as pelicans, cormorants, kingfishers, ostriches, storks, herons and eagles. The scene here is bountiful, busy and full of color.
Lake Nakuru is known for hosting some endangered but beautiful species. You’re sure to see the rare Rothschild’s giraffe, white rhino, and one of Kenya’s largest populations of black rhino.

On your way, witness the fuchsia flamingos of Kenya firsthand and enjoy a morning game drive that promises scenic views and diverse wildlife. The drive will continue to Masai Mara National Reserve via the Mau/Narok Road, passing through the beautiful landscape and rice plantation farms.
You are expected to arrive in time for a hot lunch at the lodge in Masai Mara, a land full of grassy plains and rolling hills. Enjoy an introduction game drive in this open savannah grassland crossed by the Mara and Talek Rivers. It is one of the few places on earth where wildlife still lives comparatively undisturbed, in their numbers that once roamed the plains and forests of Africa. Animals found here are lion, cheetah, elephant, zebra, and hippo. Wildebeest traverse the plains during their annual migration.

Day 5
Masai Mara National Reserve
Masai Mara National Reserve
Explore the savannah grassland - the Masai Mara National Reserve. Today will be a game-viewing extravaganza!
Masai Mara remains the most exciting wildlife ecosystem in the savannah grassland. It is host to the highest and most varied concentration of wildlife compared to any other park in the region. The scenic appeal of the tree-studded savannah plains, the moderate climate and the diversity of wild game species make it a one-stop shop for game-viewing activities.
We will traverse the park on a full day of unlimited game viewing, encountering the Big Five and more of the lesser game. We will visit the Mara River, where we can watch hippos and crocodiles or the great migration (July – October). Despite the well-known wildebeest migration, the Masai Mara is visited by many throughout the year as it hosts so much wildlife. Therefore, a visit to Kenya without visiting this park is not a complete holiday. Book with us; book with confidence.
