You will be picked up from the airport, ferry, or hotel and drive to Mikumi National Park which is approximately a 5-hour drive. You will have a short stop in Morogoro for a hot lunch. After lunch, you will proceed to Mikumi National Park for an afternoon game drive. You'll enjoy the afternoon game drive with a sunset view at the hippo pool where you can see the animals coming to drink.
Animals commonly found in this park include lions, elands, hartebeests, buffalos, wildebeest, giraffes, zebras, elephants, and many more. Wild dogs can be seen in packs here in the open horizons and abundant wildlife of the Mkata Floodplain. Over 300 species of birds have been observed in this park.
Late in the evening, you will drive to the cottage for dinner and an overnight stay.

Morning Game Drive in Mikumi National Park then Drive to Ruaha National Park
You'll wake up for an early morning game drive until 8:00 am then drive back to the cottage for breakfast. After breakfast, you'll start the journey to Ruaha National Park with a stopover in Iringa Town for a hot lunch.
You'll arrive for afternoon game drives in the park looking for hippos, crocodiles, waterbucks, reedbucks, and buffalos venture to the river’s edge to drink, attracting the attention of lions, leopards, hyenas, wild dogs, and jackals. There are many birds in the park including Eurasia migrants that come to visit the park twice a year. Late evening, you will drive to the banda for dinner and an overnight stay.

Full-Day Game Drive in Ruaha National Park
You will wake up for an early morning game drive which will take about two hours then drive back to the cottage for breakfast. After breakfast, you will proceed with a full-day game drive to explore the beauty of the park, which is full of rocky, kopjes, and ancient baobab trees. Late evening, you will drive back to the bandas for dinner and an overnight stay.
A fine network of game-viewing roads follows the Great Ruaha River and its seasonal tributaries, where during the dry season impalas, waterbucks and other antelopes risk their life for a sip of life-sustaining water. The risk is considerable not only from the pride of the 10-plus lions that lord over the savannah but also from the cheetahs that stalk the open grassland.

Morning Game Drive in Ruaha National Park then Drive to Morogoro Via Isimila Stone Age Site
You will wake up for an early breakfast then start driving to the exit gate with a game drive en route. After exiting the park, you will start driving to the Isimila Stone Age Site via Iringa town. This tour will take about two hours. Then, you will drive to Morogoro Arc Hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
The tour of the site begins at the little museum where a guide gives a brief introduction to the formation of the site and explains more about the fossils and tools that are displayed. The tour then continues into the canyon down a steep footpath. Once there, the guide shows you some of the beds where the tools were found and explains how the rock towers were formed. The walk is very scenic, the earth has a warm reddish tint and it is also a good spot to see birds.
Morogoro to Nyerere National Park (ex Selous Game Reserve) Afternoon Boat Safari
After breakfast, you will start your journey to Nyerere National Park.
The journey is the most amazing in the truly wild and untouched area of Tanzania. The drive will take you along the Uluguru Mountains across rivers and pass through small local villages and farms. The drive is tiring but possibly the most rewarding and adventurous on the southern circuit.
You will arrive in Nyerere National Park (ex Selous Game Reserve) for an afternoon boat safari from 4:00 pm until sunset.
The boat safari brings you into close contact with hippos, crocodiles, and fantastic birdlife. Crocodiles glide into the water as your boat approaches and hippos appear in frightening proximity, grunting and blowing steam.

Full-Day Game Drive in Nyerere National Park (ex Selous Game Reserve)
You will wake up for an early breakfast then you will go out for a game drive.
Today, you will have a full-day game drive in Nyerere National Park (ex Selous Game Reserve). You will explore the reserve by 4WD vehicle. You will have time for good photographic opportunities and the chance to explore different sections of the vast park. You will continue with the game drive until sunset.

Walking Safari in the Wild then Drive to Dar es Salaam
You will wake up early in the morning and have a cup of coffee or tea. Then, you'll go out for a wilderness walking safari with the guidance of an armed ranger which will take two to two and a half hours.
The walking safari will give you a particularly intimate feel of the African wild. You will get the chance to touch nature and see the different foot prints and droppings of different wild animals and small creatures that you can’t see during the game drive. After the walking safari, you will go back to the camp/ lodge for breakfast then pack your stuff and start driving back to Dar es Salaam with a lunch pack. You will be dropped off at your hotel or airport for your next destination.
