Day 1

Upon arrival, you will be met by DK Tours and Safaris representatives and transferred to your hotel. You will then be picked up at 4:00 pm for the sunset boat cruise on the Zambezi River. This is a two-hour boat cruise that includes return transfers snacks, soft drinks, wines, beers, and spirits.

Day 2

Guided Tour of the Falls and Boma Dinner

Guided Tour of the Falls and Boma Dinner

Your guide will meet you at 8:00 am for the guided tour of Victoria Falls. This is a two-hour trip that will take you to the falls via the big baobab tree and ends at the open curio market after the falls tour.

You will have the rest of the day free for optional tours and you will be picked up for the Boma dinner at 7:00 pm. Here there will be lots of traditional entertainment (drumming shows and dances) and; the dinner is served buffet style.

Day 3

Safari in Chobe National Park

Safari in Chobe National Park

On this day you will be picked up from your hotel at 7:30 am for the full-day safari in the Chobe National Park in Botswana. You do not have to wait until we cross the border into Botswana to start enjoying game viewing as we will be driving through the Zambezi National Park for 70km to the Botswana border.

The safari starts with a boat cruise on the Chobe River. This will be three hours of game viewing from the boat. You will have a buffet lunch at the four-star Chobe Safari Lodge. After lunch, it will be time to take to the bush in custom-made 4x4 safari vehicles for the three-hour afternoon game drive. You will visit the upper Chobe which is not accessible by boat. This is where we get to see the shy predators (lions, hyenas, leopards, etc) and at times on their kills.
You will leave the park at around 5:00 pm for your hotel near the Chobe National Park.

Day 4

Chobe National Park Safari

Chobe National Park Safari

Have early morning game drives in the Chobe National Park with tea and coffee in the bush. Depart at 6:00 pm and you will be back at the lodge at around 9:30 am in time for your full breakfast at the hotel. Early morning drives are great for big cats sightings.

At around 3:00 pm, you will be picked up for the afternoon cruise on the Chobe River. Enjoy big game sighting as they come down to the river for the last drink of the day. You will also get to witness the amazing Chobe River sunset.

Day 5

Transfer to Nata en-route to Maun

Transfer to Nata en-route to Maun

You will be picked up at 7:30 am for the transfer to Nata (on your way to the Okavango Delta). You will spend one night before proceeding to the Okavango Delta the next day. You will close encounter the elephants visiting the lodge`s water hole (the only source of drinkable water in the area) and even take an afternoon game drive in the Elephant Sands Game reserve for more wildlife viewing.
The Elephant Sands Bush Lodge (in Nata) is only 250km from Chobe National Park and is within the Elephant Sands game reserve.

Makgadikgadi to Okavango Delta

You will be transferred from Elephant Sands Bush Camp to Maun—the launchpad for the Okavango Delta activities. On this day, we recommend an afternoon forty-five-minute scenic flight over the Okavango Delta (optional), just to get a bird`s eye view of this unique wetland system of rivers, crystal clear channels, islands, and lagoons that creates a safe haven for flora and fauna. Overnight at the Sedia Riverside Hotel (or similar) with breakfast.

Okavango Delta

Okavango Delta

Soon after breakfast, you'll venture out on a day trip into the delta. This is a full-day experience where you will explore the Okavango by mokoro (a traditional dug-out canoe), by boat, or on wilderness walks on nearby islands. Navigate the labyrinth of lily-filled lagoons and streams, where hippos fight for bathing rights and crocodiles wait for antelopes to linger too long over a drink. Commonly spotted animals include lions, impalas, giraffes, hippos, elephants, crocodiles, and countless species of birds. You will return to the hotel at around 16h00 or thereabout.
