Day 1

Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park

Pick up from the hotel early, around 8:30am, and start your safari with a transfer to Tarangire National Park. Tarangire is one of the best-kept secrets of the northern safari circuit. The park covers an area of 2,850sq km (1,100sq mi) and offers unique and diverse landscapes. The permanent presence of water in the region makes it an excellent destination, especially during the dry season (June to October and December to February), as plenty of wild animals migrate here. The park is home to huge baobab trees, big mammals (especially elephants), and other carnivores.

Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater

Enjoy an early morning game drive in Central Serengeti National Park and transfer to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area in the afternoon. The Ngorongoro Crater has been one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites since 1979. Ngorongoro covers 8,200sq km (3,200sq mi) and is part and parcel of the broader Serengeti ecosystem. It is often called the 8th wonder of the world since it has it all: stunning landscapes, wildlife density, and people (Masai) co-existing in perfect harmony with the wildlife. The crater is the world's largest intact caldera and home to the rare black rhino. The crater is also the world's largest concentration of wildlife per square km. Words alone cannot express the beauty of Ngorongoro, you have to see for yourself what this majestic place is all about! We are convinced you will agree, it deserves the title of the 8th wonder of the world! Your overnight stay is on the crater rim.

Approximately 30,000 animals live in the crater. The crater is one of the few places in Africa where guests stand an excellent chance of seeing the entire Big Five during a single game drive.
