Day 1

On this day, the safari will begin with transfer to Murchison Falls National Park. Expect a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a short walk to see the white Rhinos with a ranger escort for about an hour seeing them enjoying them in the sanctuary, later after lunch proceed to Murchison falls National Park. You will be amazed the beautiful landscape while occasionally sighting the wildlife on your way to your accommodation.

Day 2

The day begins with early morning breakfast, head out for morning game drive towards the Albert and Victoria Nile to experience a great deal of wildlife and bird species. Search for big cats, herds of elephants, buffalo, giraffes, antelopes and a variety of bird species like shoebill, saddle billed stock, goliath heron, egrets, Abyssinian ground hornbill. Return to the lodge for lunch. After lunch go for a boat cruise on the Victoria Nile to the bottom of the falls. Game viewing is excellent, hippos in the hundreds, some of the largest crocodiles left in Africa, Small herds of buffalo, water buck and Uganda kobs. Elephants are frequently seen playing in water often within few meters. From the main view point, a longer footpath perhaps 30 minutes leading to a saddle offering a face on view of not only the Murchison falls but also comparably voluminous waterfalls a few 100 meters its north. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3

Transfer to Kibale National Park

Transfer to Kibale National Park

After breakfast, the safari will continue with transfer to Kibale National Park. This park is highly alluring to nature lovers for its excellent chimpanzee trekking and bird watching. It boosts of the highest total of primates such as velvet, red-tailed, L’Hoest’s and blue monkeys, grey cheeked mangabey, red Columbus, olive baboon and chimpanzee. Upon arrival you will check in your room and have a relaxed evening.

Enjoy your breakfast, proceed to the park office for briefing. The highlight of Kibale Forest will be the chimpanzee trekking excursion. While in the forest expect to see at least 2-3 other types of primates most especially grey- cheeked mangabey and red tailed monkey. You will hear plenty of birdsong. The guides are knowledgeable and will identify various medicinal plants, bird calls and animal spoor. Once you allocate the chimpanzees, you will be allowed an hour with them. You return to the lodge for lunch, thereafter you will head out for Queen Elizabeth National Park arriving in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.

Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat trip

After a healthy breakfast, go for early morning game drive though the park, look out for members of the big five including lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopard, other mammals such as giant forest hogs and antelopes. You will return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon go for a boat trip along the kazinga channel. It’s a great trip where elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks, large hippo pods, giant forest hog will be observed from time to time. Keep an open eye for the enormous monitor lizard which is common in the riverine scrub as well as crocodiles. Water birds are plentiful such as yellow billed stock, pelicans, fish eagles, crowned eagles. Back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Have breakfast and later you will be transferred to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park though the Ishasha sector which is well known for tree climbing lions’ population. Ishasha sector also harbors decent concentrations of hippos, elephants, buffalo and antelopes. You will have lunch at Ishasha Jungle Lodge and continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park which is a home of the endangered mountain gorillas reaching in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.

Gorilla Trekking

After early breakfast, you will drive to the park offices for briefing. Gorilla trekking is a highlight in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, we trek through the rain forest and bamboo covered slopes. You will love the trekking in the ecosystem of the park. Depending on the nature of the activity take with you your lunch box and all the necessary gears. The trekking will take 3-5 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas. Return to the lodge and have a relaxed evening or go for community experience like traditional dance, basket weaving and wood carving.

After your delicious breakfast, Proceed to Lake Mburo National Park, as we enter the park, it is likely that you will spot some Zebras, warthogs, giraffes, eland. Check in and have lunch. Relax at the lodge. Have an early dinner before going for a night game drive. This is special game drive of 2-3 hours provides 30% chances of seeing the elusive leopard and of course other nocturnal animals like bush babies.

Transfer to Entebbe International Airport

Transfer to Entebbe International Airport

Wake up with a cup of coffee or tea and go for early morning nature walk in the park with a park ranger. Which brings you close to the amazing wildlife, return to the lodge for breakfast as you prepare for the journey to Kampala/ Entebbe. Expect a stopovers for lunch along the way and the Equator line for beautiful pictures. Proceed with the journey to Entebbe arriving late afternoon or evening to be dropped at your point of drop off like hotel, airport. Enriched with the memory of the rare apes and the beauty of the Pearl of Africa.
