Arrive in Livingstone

You will be met at Livingstone Airport on the Zambian side of the falls by a Mmilo Tours representative who will transfer you to your hotel. (Flights from Johannesburg/Cape Town/elsewhere are not included but can be arranged for you).
After you have checked in and freshened up, our local guide will take you for your first guided tour of the falls. This will familiarise you with your surroundings and location. Your stay in Livingstone will be at the Royal Livingstone, the premier 5-star hotel at the falls. The Royal Livingstone is on the banks of the Zambezi River, just above the falls, with wonderful views of the islands in the river and elephants and hippos swimming out to the islands. The walkways on the Zambia side feature a handful of viewpoints on Victoria Falls’ far eastern end. The spots include panoramas yielding profile views of the eastern end of the cataract (with rainbows in the morning) as well as frontal views of that cataract across the Knife Edge Bridge.

Enjoy the Splendor of the Victoria Falls (Zambian Side)

Perhaps you might like to take a walk down to the falls before breakfast. The falls take on different appearances during the day with various lighting conditions. The famous falls rainbow changes with different angles of the sun and in the morning mist when backlit, creating a softer atmospheric view.
Today, we suggest going for a white-water rafting expedition (optional extra). The rafting is in the Batoka Gorge beneath its towering walls below the falls. Alternatively, other optional activities available are a visit to the Elephant Sanctuary, a helicopter flip over the falls, a trip to Livingstone Island or a visit to the Devil’s Pool (seasonal).
This evening, enjoy the beautiful Zambezi River sunset cruise, “Captain’s Cabin” (included), passing islands in the river and along the shore. You will often see elephants and hippos swimming to and from the islands and the occasional antelope on the river’s edge. This cruise includes selected drinks as well as light snacks and canapés.

Last Morning at Victoria Falls (Zambian Side)

After breakfast, enjoy a last walk to the falls before meeting your driver in the lobby area of the Royal Livingstone Hotel at 11:00 am (or earlier if you wish) for your transfer back to the airport.
