Game Drive and Safari Cruise in Chobe National Park
We'll depart Victoria Falls at 7:00 am. Guests are assisted with border formalities before we proceed to Chobe National Park. A short briefing will follow on some pertinent facts around safety, and regional information will be provided. Guests will board the boat for their safari cruise at 9:00 am; the duration of the activity is 3 hours. This river cruise is considered one of the highlights of the trip, as one gets the opportunity to get up close and personal with fantastic birdlife, hippos, crocodiles, and of course, scores of elephants and Cape buffalos that make their way down to the river to quench their thirst. The boat cruise ends at the Coffee Buzz Restaurant at midday. There is an opportunity to do last-minute shopping in Kasane, as there are no shops within the park. Guests then depart on an afternoon game drive. Arrive at the camp shortly after sunset for drinks around the campfire and dinner under the stars.

Morning and Afternoon Game Drives
Guests are woken up at dawn with warm water being poured into their basins and a friendly Botswana greeting, “dumela,” meaning good day. After a quick cup of tea or coffee and a light continental breakfast, vehicles head off on an early morning game drive. This time of day is best for finding big cats or rare wild dogs as they are still active, and the chances of seeing them are good. Around mid to late morning, guests return to camp for a delicious bush brunch and a siesta, read, rest, or take a refreshing shower. The afternoon game drive follows afternoon tea.
Chobe National Park has a wide variety of game. Cats and large herbivores such as elephants and buffalos are a highlight, but rarer game such as puku, eland, sable, and Roan antelope and much more common antelope can be viewed here. Return to the camp after sunset for a reflective fireside chat. Dinner follows, as always, accompanied by the unforgettable sounds of the African night.
