Do an early morning game drive; return to your lodge for a full breakfast. Thereafter, leave for Lake Naivasha to arrive in good time for lunch and rest. This afternoon, fill yourself with a beautiful walk around the lodge as you enjoy the serenity. There will be an optional boat ride at the lake and also visit the crescent island at an extra cost. After breakfast, carry your packed lunch and head for a full-day game drive. Explore the incredible mara wide-open landscapes and fertile riverine woodland following the looping meanders of the Mara and Talek rivers in Kenya: witness the frequent amount of wildlife such as Masai giraffe, baboons, warthogs, bat-eared foxes, grey jackals, spotted hyena, topis, impala, hartebeests, wildebeest. Elephants, buffaloes, zebras, and hippos are also found in great numbers. It is also common to see lions either basking after a heavy meal or surveying the plains for their next meal. The ultimate action here is, without doubt, the annual wildebeest exodus, the Great Migration, in July and August when millions of these grass eaters move north from the Serengeti in search of lusher grass before turning south again in October. After breakfast, leave for a full day game drive with a picnic lunch. Explore these landscapes that range from dense mountain forests and woodlands to grasslands, lakes, and swamps where huge herds of ungulates dominate the crater floor with zebras, wildebeests, elands, Grant’s, and Thompson’s gazelles being the species most commonly seen. But the crater is also home to the “big five” and elephants, lions, Leopard, Rhino, and buffaloes are often spotted. The almost extinct black rhino can also be found in the crate and sightings aren’t rare either. Serval cats spotted hyenas, and jackals are also often seen while cheetahs are more difficult to spot. Return for dinner and overnight at the lodge.
