Day 1-4

Crocodiles and hippos in front of your house

Crocodiles and hippos in front of your house

Upon your arrival at Mfuwe International Airport, you are welcomed by the ever-helpful crew of Flatdogs Camp. It's less than an hour's drive from Mfuwe to the camp which is situated right on the banks of the Luangwa River. This is one of the last rivers in Africa where humans have not interfered. On the drive to the camp, you are likely to see your first bushbuck, monkey, or baboon. In South Luangwa, wildlife is in abundance!

You will stay for 4 nights at Flatdogs Camp in a luxury safari tent. You have 2 game-viewing activities included per day (morning, afternoon, or evening game drives and walking safaris). The very knowledgeable guides at Flatdogs Camp will bring you closer to nature during your stay. South Luangwa is well known for its leopards, and spending several nights here makes it very likely to see lions, leopards, and even wild dogs. This area is also great for birding. Should the luck be with you, you may even see Pel's fishing owl!
