Nairobi - Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast in the morning from your hotel in Nairobi, you will be picked up for Masai Mara. You will drive through the dramatic Great Rift Valley to the Masai Mara National Reserve. This enormous reserve is part of the vast Serengeti plains famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest migration and is home to the Big Five: lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo, and rhino. You'll have lunch at your camp and relax before departing for the afternoon game run. The Mara Game Reserve is one of the greatest wildernesses in the world. Large mammals are varied and easy to see. Residents among the parks are Masai giraffe, buffalo, eland, and thousands of plain game including impala, zebra, topi, and both Thomson's and Grant's gazelles.

Masai Mara National Reserve

After a morning breakfast at 6:30 am, you will leave for a full-day game drive with a packed lunch. The search for great predators and perhaps even cubs continues today during extensive game runs. On the plains are enormous herds of grazing animals plus the elusive cheetahs and leopards hiding amidst acacia boughs. Masai Mara remains the most exciting wildlife ecosystem in the world. The reserve hosts the highest concentration of wild animals per sq km than any other park in the region. The scenic appeal of this tree-studded savannah, its’ modest temperatures, and its diversity of wild game species make the reserve a one-stop shop for game viewing. You'll transverse the reserve on unlimited game viewing drives in search of the Big Five and more species of the lesser games. Your mid-day meal can be a picnic at Mara River the migration point where you will be able to see the migration of wildebeest taking place as they cross from Serengeti National Park in Tanzania to Masai Mara.

Masai Mara - Lake Nakuru National Park

You will have a pre-breakfast game drive to see animals hunting, killing, and eating up to 9:30 am. Later, you'll return to the camp for a full breakfast. After breakfast, you'll leave for Lake Nakuru with a visit to a Masai village if you want to do so. You'll travel to the exotic Lake Nakuru National Park located in the Great Rift Valley. After lunch, an exciting game run is planned for the afternoon. The game in this park is plentiful and the magnificent bird-watching will make a devotee out of even the most reluctant. The park is home to stunning flocks of lesser and greater flamingos, which turn the lakeshores into a magnificent pink stretch. The bird life here is world renowned and over 400 bird species exist here. White pelicans, plovers, egrets, and Marabou stork. It is also one of the very few places in Africa to see the white rhino and rare Rothschild giraffe.

Lake Nakuru - Nairobi

You'll have an early breakfast followed by a game drive where you will see hundreds of thousands of flamingos canopy the shallow edges of Lake Nakuru. Pelicans and hundreds of other bird species will be seen. Others include both the black and white rhino, lions, warthogs, antelopes, baboons, and many other animals. You'll return to the hotel before lunch, freshen up, and enjoy lunch. You'll check out of your lodge/camp and depart for Nairobi by road. A leisurely scenic 2-hour drive brings you to Nairobi, arriving late afternoon (between 5:00 pm-6:00 pm). We will transfer you to your hotel.
