You will be picked up from your hotel in Arusha at 07:30 am. We drive on a tarmac road for 38km to Arusha National Park (552 km2) with packed lunch. Over 400 species recorded in such a small park is quite an impressive count. A combination of the forest reserve, the Momella Lakes, and the Ngurdoto crater does the magic. A closer look at the birds and wild animals will be arranged with a walking safari with an armed ranger for 4 hours. Over 400 species recorded in such a small park is quite an impressive count. Lake Momella is one of the best places in Tanzania to see waterbirds, flamingos, pelicans, little grebe, a variety of herons, ducks, and waders are common. Also, Hart lab, turaco, eagles, lesser & greater flamingos, geese, hammer kop, red shark, spur-winged goose, woodpecker, secretary bird, grey parrot. Other animals such as zebras, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, waterbucks, Colobus monkeys, vervet monkeys, baboons, and many others reside here.

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, start your safari from Arusha to Tarangire National Park. Tarangire National Park is famous for its dense wildlife population, which is most spectacular between June and September, the dry period. During this time, thousands of animals such as wildebeest, buffalo, and oryx, migrate from the dry Maasai steeple to the Tarangire River looking for water. Lions, leopards, and other predators follow the herds. Tarangire is home to over 500 varieties of birds. Have lunch and enjoy a late afternoon game viewing. Drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Marera Valley Lodge.

After breakfast, we drive on a tarmac road for 40km with a lunch box to Lake Manyara National Park for afternoon game drives. Start the game drive through an underground water forest, then proceed to acacia woodland, savanna open land, passing by a hot water spring, until you reach Lake Manyara. Lake Manyara is home to many flamingos and other water birds. The park is home to tree-climbing lions, hippo, elephants, zebra, buffalo, giraffes, baboons, blue and velvet monkeys, warthog, and more. About 350 species of birds have been recorded here. You will have a picnic lunch, then dinner, and overnight at Mara Valley Lodge.

After an early breakfast, we leave for Serengeti National Park, driving through the Ngorongoro conservation area. You will have the option of visiting Olduvai Gorge (known as the cradle of mankind, with the hominids dating 2 million years back). The game drive takes us to the vast Serengeti plains, home of the Big 5 animals, the predators, the great migration, and the Nile crocodiles. At sunset, you will head to the accommodation for dinner and overnight at Intimate Places Tented Camp.

After breakfast, we start the day with morning game drives in Serengeti National Park while marveling at the stunning scenery, ever-changing light, and always entertaining wildlife, which will all be explained to you by your expert guide.

You'll have an optional picnic or hot lunch at 12:30 am. After lunch, we set off again for afternoon game drives that take us till sunset. We drive to the camp for dinner and overnight at Intimate Places Tented Camp.

Today you will leave after breakfast and, with a packed lunch, you will start the drive. You follow the migrations paths depending on the location. We will spend the day following the great migration of about 1.5 million wildebeests and 500,000 zebras migrating through the Serengeti Ecosystem. Dangers are everywhere and packs of lions, cheetahs, and other carnivores are everywhere waiting for the right moment to strike. Crocodiles in the Serengeti river have no mercy as the herds cross the river. Thousands are swept by the arrogant waters and the scenes are amazing. Later in the early evening, you will drive for dinner and overnight at Camp Zebra.

After breakfast, depart from Serengeti and head to the Ngorongoro Crater Rim. Wake up for an early morning game drive in Serengeti, then head back to the campsite for breakfast. You will then check out and drive with packed lunch and enjoy game viewing en route to the Ngorongoro Crater Rim. You will have dinner and overnight at Rhino Lodge.

Wake up early in the morning for breakfast and then descend into the crater floor for game drives. All the Big Five (rhino, lion, buffalo, and elephant) live in this wonderful caldera. Others that live here are zebra, hippo, wildebeest, hyena, and more. Birds include flamingos on the Soda lake, geese, storks, vultures, and more. Your lunch will be served at the picnic site in the Crater at Ngoitoktok swamp, a hippo pool. After lunch, drive back to Arusha.
