After breakfast, we head toward the Serengeti National Park via the beautiful, high-lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, we descend into the heart of wild Africa - the Serengeti National Park - with its endless plains rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see.
We head to the Central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park. It features the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and attracts wildlife representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. We arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti National Park. Dinner and overnight will be at Golden Safari Tented Camp.

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater - Karatu
We will depart camp early to ensure we arrive at the Ngorongoro Crater promptly. We will descend into the crater with a picnic lunch for our game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater is an immense, unbroken caldera formed when a volcano erupted millions of years ago. The elevated structure encourages the animals to stay within the crater, which means there is a high possibility of spotting every member of the "Big 5". This powerful group comprises buffaloes, lions, rhinos, elephants, and leopards.
You can also expect to see other wildlife, including zebras, hippos, wildebeests, and hyenas. Flamingos will lounge gracefully on the banks of the soda lake, while vultures can be found scavenging for a predator's discarded prey. Geese and storks are among some of the other bird species. Your trip will end in the late afternoon when we head to Mto wa Mbu for dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Corridor Lodge.
