Arusha to Arusha NP

Pick up from your hotel in Arusha and drive on a tarmac road 38km to Arusha National Park (552 Km2) with packed lunch. Over 400 species recorded in such a small park is quite an impressive count. A combination of the forest reserve, the Momella Lakes and the Ngurdoto crater does the magic. A closer look at the birds and wild animals will be arranged with a walking Safari with an armed ranger for 2 hours. Over 400 species recorded in such a small park is quite an impressive count. Lake Momella is one of the best places in Tanzania to see waterbirds, flamingo, pelican, little grebe, a variety of herons, ducks and waders are common. Also Hart lab, turaco, eagles, Lesser & Greater Flamingos, p orchards, geese, hammer Kop, red shark, spur winged goose, woodpecker, secretary bird, grey parrot. Other animals such as Zebras, Elephants, Buffaloes, Giraffes, Water bucks, Colobus monkey, Vervet monkeys, Baboons and many others reside here. Dinner and overnight at Charity Hotel.

Day 2
Arusha to Tarangire NP

After breakfast, start with your safari from Arusha to Tarangire National Park. Tarangire National Park is famous for its dense wildlife population, which is most spectacular between June and September, the dry period. During this time, thousands of animals like wildebeest, buffalo, and oryx migrate from the dry Maasai steeple to the Tarangire River looking for water. Lions, leopards and other predators follow the herds. Tarangire is home to over 500 varieties of birds. Have lunch and take a late afternoon game viewing. Drive to the camp for dinner and your overnight stay at Marera Valley Lodge.

Day 3
Full game at Manyara National Park

After breakfast we drive on a tarmac road with a lunch box to Lake Manyara National Park for afternoon game drives. Start the game drive through underground water forest, proceed to acacia woodland savanna open land, pass by hot water spring, and proceed to Lake Manyara. Lake Manyara is home of many flamingos and other water birds. The park is home of tree climbing lions, hippo, elephant, zebra, buffalo, giraffe, baboon, blue and velvet monkey, warthog, and more. About 350 species of birds have been recorded here. You will have a picnic lunch, dinner, and overnight at Marera Valley lodge.

Day 4
Marera To Serengeti National Park
Marera To Serengeti National Park
You will have an early morning breakfast in the lodge, then drive to the great Serengeti National Park with lunch and game drives en route. During your afternoon game drive in the park, you might see lion, leopard, elephant, cheetah, buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, eland, wild dog, gazelles, crocodile, and more. Lots of birds include the migrants. Proceed with game viewing around Seronera or eastward, dinner and overnight will be at Serengeti Heritage Luxury Tented Camp.

Day 5
Central Serengeti to Western Serengeti

Breakfast will be followed by a morning and afternoon game drive in the park. In the afternoon, we will continue with game viewing to the northeast of the park. This is the Grumeti river area, where the main path of the Serengeti wildebeest migration passes through. Dinner and overnight will be at Tukaone Tented Camp.

Day 6
Full Game Drive in Western Serengeti
Full Game Drive in Western Serengeti
You can either have a relaxed breakfast and depart for full day game drives around 9:00 AM with packed lunch and return back to lodge late afternoon around 6:00 PM. Or you can depart at 6:00 AM on an early morning game drive. Later return to accommodation for breakfast and relax for a bit and depart on an afternoon game drive with packed lunch. In the months between May to mid-June, the migration might be found in this region. Fierce, deep and heavily rain fed the river takes an enormous toll on the migrating wildebeest. Watching the wildebeest surging through the torrential flow, some drowning and a few falling preys to lurking crocodiles is an unforgettable sight. If it’s your lucky day you will be able to witness this natural wonder and watch nature take its course. During the full day game drive, you will have a stop where you can have your picnic lunch. The day comes to an end with a tasty dinner and a good rest in your accommodation.

Day 7
Serengeti to Ngorongoro

After breakfast, you will have a morning game drive in Serengeti National Park. Later depart for Ngorongoro Crater Rim with picnic lunch. Ngorongoro Crater is the largest collapsed volcanic crater in the world and fourteen kilometers of isolated natural beauty. Ngorongoro Crater is surrounded by a ring of extinct volcanoes and the floor, dotted with watering holes, shelters wild animals. Dinner and good night’s rest at Ngorongoro Safari Lodge.

Day 8
Crater to Arusha
Crater to Arusha
On the last day of your safari, you will have an early start. Finishing up with a quick breakfast you will make an early descend at around 6:30 AM into the crater floor. The Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest inactive, intact and unfilled volcanic caldera. It has a massive floor of about 260 sq km with a depth of over 2000 feet. The 6-hour game drive on the crater floor will show you a lot of animal action. Keeping the camera ready is definitely recommended. The African elephant, buffalo, Black rhino, Hippos, Hyenas, Cheetahs, and Lions are found in plenty. Post the picnic lunch at the beautiful Hippo pool, you will begin a steep ascent to the top exit of the crater. Later drive back to Arusha.
