Safari to Ngorongoro Crater
After an early breakfast, you will have a game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater.
This UNESCO World Heritage Site offers a unique biosphere that has remained virtually unchanged. There are very few places in the world where you can find such a large population of wildlife throughout the year. Deep within the crater, enclosed by towering walls, you have a good chance of spotting the "Big Five" (lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard). For the last 2 mentioned, you need a bit of luck as they tend to shy away. Approximately 30,000 animals live on the crater floor!
You will have your packed lunch in the crater and then drive back to Arusha, where you stay in a very pleasant and comfortable lodge in the center of the Arusha region. In the late afternoon, you can go for a stroll around Arusha town or take a refreshing dip in the swimming pool.
