Day 1

Nairobi to Amboseli National Park

Nairobi to Amboseli National Park

After pick-up from the airport or your city hotel, we will transfer you to the domestic Wilson Airport for the flight to Amboseli. Arrive at the hotel for check-in and lunch. Have a short rest before your afternoon game drive starts. Explore the park and see large herds of elephants, as well as other animals like zebras, giraffes, and many more. Mount Kilimanjaro provides a beautiful background (see it come out from behind the clouds during sunset and sunrise).

Amboseli game safari

You will enjoy morning and afternoon game drives inside Amboseli National Park in search of the big cats and the elephant families of Amboseli, as well as other wildlife. The early-morning game viewing will be the perfect time to catch a glimpse of the highest peak of Mount Kilimanjaro and to take photos. All meals will be at the lodge with an exemption of a Sundowner (weather permitting).

Day 3

Amboseli to Samburu National Reserve

Amboseli to Samburu National Reserve

After an early breakfast, check out and proceed to the airstrip for your flight to Nairobi and the onward flight to Samburu. Transfer from the airstrip to the camp for check-in and lunch. Take a dip in the pool or relax and watch elephants passing the river bank before your afternoon game drive starts. In addition to the usual safari animal sightings, you'll also have the chance to spot the Beisa oryx, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, long-necked gerenuk and Grevy's zebra - the famous Northern Special Five.

Morning & afternoon game drives

Morning & afternoon game drives

Start your day with an early morning wake-up call so that you never miss a moment of the action. A morning game drive is often the best time to see many animals on the move before the heat of the day sets in. You will return to the camp for breakfast and have some time to relax and absorb the unique atmosphere of Africa as you gaze out over the plains.

You can enjoy the refreshing swimming pool before and after lunch before you head out into the reserve again on your afternoon game drive. In addition to all the animals already mentioned, keep a lookout for olive baboons, warthogs, and many species of antelope. There are also over 350 recorded species of birds in this reserve including kingfishers, sunbirds, bee-eaters, storks, hornbills, and many raptors.

Day 5

Samburu to Masai Mara

Samburu to Masai Mara

Go on your last early-morning game drive in Samburu then fly either directly to Masai Mara or fly to Nairobi and onwards to Masai Mara. Lunch can either be taken in Nairobi or in Masai Mara, depending on the flight option taken. On arrival, go on an afternoon game drive in the Mara-Naboisho conservancy. Guests can expect to encounter large numbers of animals year-round, with big herds of elephant, buffalo and other plains game. It is also common to see predator interaction.

Day 6

Explore the Mara-Naboisho conservancy

Explore the Mara-Naboisho conservancy

After breakfast, you will proceed for a full-day game drive in this fine reserve. The game drives take you in search of Africa's Big Five and the plethora of other wildlife inhabiting this game reserve. On clear days, the Mara offers fantastic orange-tinged sunsets well worth capturing on camera. Wherever you go in the vast Masai Mara you will see many wildlife such as Maasai giraffes, baboons, warthogs, bat-eared foxes, grey jackals, spotted hyenas, topis, impalas, hartebeests and wildebeests. Savannah elephants, Cape buffaloes, zebras and hippos are also found in great numbers. It is also common to see black-maned lions either basking after a heavy meal, or surveying the plains for their next meal. Enjoy a sundowner & a night game drive to wind up the day in a special way.

Fly back to Nairobi

Go on an early-morning guided walking safari from around 0700-0900hrs. Return for breakfast at the camp and later be transferred to the airstrip for your flight back to Nairobi. Depending on your outbound flight, we will host you for lunch at the famous Carnivore Restaurant.
