Nairobi to Mara

Depart Nairobi early in the morning and drive to Masai Mara with a brief stop at Mai Mahiu view point from where you will view the great rift valley. Arrive in time for lunch. After lunch you will have a late afternoon game drive in the Masai Mara game reserve, one of East Africa’s top safari destinations. The Mara reserve incorporates 1510 km² of incredible, wide-open landscapes and fertile reverie woodland following the looping meanders of the Mara and Talek rivers in Kenya. One glimpse is enough to explain its appeal; it is typical open savannah, with a mass of amazing wildlife. Returning from your foray into Masai Mara you will have dinner and relax under the stars, falling asleep to the sounds of the bush. Back to the camp for dinner and overnight.

Rise early to catch up with the Hot Air Balloon Ride. The Balloons lift off at dawn after a flight briefing. The one-hour flight will give you a bird’s eye view of the best East Africa has to offer in the magnificent setting of the Great Rift Valley. On landing you celebrate in the traditional manner with champagne (well, an excellent sparkling wine), before sitting down to a full English breakfast prepared and served in the bush in ‘Out of Africa’ style. Early morning is the ideal time to see wild animals on the plains, and in the Masai Mara Game Reserve in Kenya it is an experience you will never forget. The amazing wildlife experience continues later with a full day game drive. Immerse yourself in this wildlife habitat for a full day game drive. You’ll discover a land famous for its striking vistas and diverse wildlife. Here it’s possible to spot the Big 5 feeding, grazing or hunting – just as they have for millions of years. Later you will drive back to the camp.

You will have an early morning game drive. Return to the lodge and have breakfast. Thereafter depart from the lodge return to the bustling Nairobi city, arriving in the afternoon. You will be dropped at your Nairobi Hotel or the airport.
