It is here on the outskirts of this town, hidden amongst one of Tanzania’s largest coffee plantations, that you will find Arusha Coffee Lodge, a perfect haven for relaxation either before or after any East African safari.

Arusha - Ngorongoro

We depart Arusha after breakfast and drive to Lake Manyara National Park, where our game drive will start today.

There is a profusion of wildlife in this small national park, and the amazing bird-watching experience will certainly be rewarding to both a devoted and first-time bird watcher. It is also among the few places on the African continent to see the tree-climbing lions. Manyara also prides itself on large flocks of beautiful pink flamingoes found near the lake. You will have lunch at a picnic site. Later, drive to Ngorongoro Crater Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Ngorongoro Crater - Serengeti National Park

After an early breakfast, descend to the crater for a day of game viewing. The crater teems with zebras, buffaloes, lions, wildebeests, baboons, elephants, flamingos, ostriches, hippos, and also the rare black rhino. The beautiful colors and dancing clouds make the crater almost surreal. Because of its natural beauty, the Ngorongoro Crater is one of Africa’s Seven Natural Wonders.

After lunch, we proceed with the game drive en route to Serengeti National Park for dinner and overnight at &Beyond Serengeti Under Canvas Camp.

Serengeti National Park Full Day

Today, you will have a full day of game driving around the Serengeti. Depending on the time of year and the location of the great migration herds, you may see vast numbers of wildebeests, with big cats, hyenas and other predators nearby – looking to hunt an easy meal. All year round, you can see elephants, giraffes, zebras, lions, monkeys, baboons, hippos, rhinos, antelopes, and many birds and other animals.

Later, return to your camp for dinner and overnight.

Serengeti National Park - Masai Mara

After breakfast, you will start driving towards the Isebania border, where you will complete the paperwork and proceed to Masai Mara. The road towards the Kenyan border is a long and adventurous one, but it will be worth it as the Mara is reputed to have the highest lion population of all reserves in Africa. Other large cats also live here and can be spotted all year round, as their sightings are not dependent upon the seasons or the great migration.

You will have dinner and an overnight stay at &Beyond Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp.

Today will be spent in the Masai Mara on unlimited game-viewing drives.
(Opportunities for optional balloon ride excursion)

The Masai Mara ecosystem hosts the highest concentration of wild animals per sq km than any other game reserve in the region. Elephant, lion, cheetah, buffalo, antelope, warthog, hyena and many other animal species may be seen. Simply stated, the Masai Mara is a one-stop for game and scenery viewing. You will carry a picnic lunch and spend the entire day on game-viewing drives for maximum wildlife sightings. During August, you will get a chance to experience the crossing of wildebeests and zebras from Serengeti, Tanzania, to Masai Mara.

Dinner and your overnight stay are at &Beyond Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp.

There are opportunities for optional balloon ride excursions.
